what you like about the 650s that the m50x doesnt give you? some say the sound is too "clinical" and exposes bad mastering too much, I'm not sure if thats something about the headphones I dislike

depends on what you mean by affordable. the x3's releasing in January might be a big upgrade over those but they clock in at $400. Copping with tax money after I see the reviews

I'm okay with my cans making poorly engineered albums sounding awful if it means the well produced s*** sounds amazing. I usually just switch to speakers if it's a poorly engineered album

I would go with T1 (if it wasn’t for price ) because I’ve seen opinions they are like upgraded DT880 which are amazing.
