New modelling by the Doherty Institute being presented to national cabinet warns that maintaining āmediumā public health and social measures would be āprudentā until Australia reaches 80% vaccination if caseloads are high ā with āmediumā measures previously defined as including stay-at-home orders except for work, study and other essential purposes.
hahahaha....

Roosters played poorly last week I am not surprised

NSW have already said they going to open up quite a lot, they canāt afford to keep shutting down the economy. I did assignment for economics and during my research found out they expecting 3 to 4% decrease in GDP this quarter

One thing which makes me hopefully is Australians are not stubborn c***s like the USA where a huge minority arenāt vaccinated where we should have 80 to 90% vaccinated in near future
But honestly I am like at this point f*** the unvaccinated

some extended family I know donāt want to get vaxed but were in a hotspot. refuse to get tested too. I worry for them. Theyāre so scared of being positive that theyād rather not know and hope it goes away. Ridiculous.
And the vaccine shopping too. š¤¦š½āāļø I feel for people who are having trouble getting it for legitimate logistical reasons but too many people are being stubborn like you said but want the benefits that are being granted to vaccinated people

Honestly eventually businesses arenāt gonna let them in if they arenāt vaccinated so idk what they gonna do. Honestly there isnāt excuses now since government finally got their s*** together and have made Pfizer widely available and the addition of Moderna gives even more reason to take it
awesome!!!

Hard. Iāve tried telling them this to no avail. With Christmas coming up itās going to be so awkward. My mom doesnāt want the unvaccinated people to come because of the grandparents š®āšØ
Thereās going to be a massive fight I can feel it lmao

funny how the blood clots issue doesnt get a mention now eh
yes the supply issues were there but ATAGI and Jeanette Young kneecapping AZ in this country has completely f***ed us.
every Dr I know finds it astonishing she isn't in front of the medical board and out of a job
gonna move my second vac forward since I donāt need to go to Olympic park no more

this whole vaccine passport / QR code stuff is just theatre, there are too many cases for it to be worthwhile - contact tracing is out the door
it should go the way of the dodo once 80% is hit, which in NSW is supposed to be about 15 days, let's call it 3 weeks after 70.
if we're at 80% double vaxxed, you yourself are double vaxxed, and you get told to isolated and tested because you were at a tier 1 venue - the can seriously get f***ed lol.
unless you work at a high risk location there is no reason to get tested once you and your family is vaccinated

thatās upsetting to hear, I just find it selfish for people wonāt get vaccinated cause of all propaganda out there. My mum has to talk my grandmother in since she been reading too much Facebook conspiracy theories.
Look I am cynical b****** and if I was in your position I would be against being associating with anti vaxxer at this point even family
i was supposed to get my first dose on the friday donda was gonna drop but my mum told me to wait for pfizer so now i have to wait until early october for my 1st and late october for my 2nd

Contact tracing went out of the window months ago, idk why people even care about that lmao.
I honestly donāt think they gonna be shutting down any premises. I donāt really work in super high risk job so I am should be fine in that department

Hey by then most of the economy will be opened up again.
This lockdown in Vic so many people who havenāt been vaxed couldāve got their first shot and second by the time we get out in Oct. maddening.

yeah i know re: your first point so what is the point of checking in other than the theatre of it all and making people feel "safe"
why cant we live in a country where people cut the bullshit
why are we depending on a simulated report when you can turn on the tv and use like 40 countries on earth as a blueprint for re-opening
@chips how has training been goin..
s***house i do some dumb bell stuff 3 times a week and pull ups / dips at the park 2-3 times but feeling/looking smaller and weaker than ever, it sucks, but nothing to be done about it so that's how it goes

ngl now that we can kinda see the light at the end of the tunnel, i've rekindled my passion for lifting. lockdown workouts in general have been straight ass - no passion just going through the motions but knowing i'll probably be back in the gym within 2 months is pretty exciting

yeah i havent completely whittled away to nothing tried to get some stimulus into the upper (legs are a lost cause in lockdown) hopefully the muscle memory kicks in and off we go
i will be quite annoyed if they dont allow 24/7 at 80% but i'll have to go in the day for a while at least... be busy i'd have thought!
