yeah I agree with this but just from the human element I was gutted for her, she was so excited. When we heard about the HQ leaks last week I was telling her this might lead to another lockdown. I guess it was just the nature of the announcement and she didn't really have time to process it that was devastating. also being 24 hours before was another kick in the pants.

exiting the pandemic in australia is going to be a real grind. risk tolerance is below zero. hope it doesn't stay like this after phase 2 of the vaccine program because that would be ridiculous. really do hope there is a point where the fed gov and states say from this point on, lockdown and borders will not be re-introduced at any time. would be about the only thing that would inspire some confidence.
