Tragic what happened to her. And before anyone comes in here posting Islamophobic s*** just know the Iranian government and their morality police are completely going against the teachings of the prophet pbuh and the traditions of Islam

    Questioning Sharia law ≠ Islamophobia

For example why should women wear Hijab based on Hadith 146 in Sahih Bukhari.?? They don't need to go to the desert to take a dump in the 21st century anymore..

It is not Islamophobic to Question and to fight for equal rights.

Am I Islamophobic for criticising Imam Ali's sermon 80 from Nahju balagha?

"O people! Women are deficient in Faith, deficient in shares and deficient in intelligence. As regards the deficiency in their Faith, it is their abstention from prayers and fasting during their menstrual period.

As regards deficiency in their intelligence it is because the evidence of two women is equal to that of one man. As for the deficiency of their shares that is because of their share in inheritance being half of men. So beware of the evils of women. Be on your guard even from those of them who are (reportedly) good. Do not obey them even in good things so that they may not attract you to evils."

What Imam Ali said in this sermon is in the Sharia law in Iran and people are fighting against that. It's not all just about a head scarf.

For equating a corrupt regimes abuse of Islam to the actual religion itself and using that as a vehicle to spread hateful speech

I’m not Shia so it’s irrelevant anyway

But if you’re gonna say Sunnis = Wahabis like the other false equivalencies to make with Shia Islam I wouldn’t be surprised

    Either way you’re a bigot

Firstly it doesn't matter if you are a Shia or not. I asked if you agree with his statements?

Secondly I didn't equate it with anything I said it is part of the Sharia law in IRAN

I got no issues with Islam in Turkey. But Islam in Iran is weaponized

It does matter whether or not I’m Shia because I’m pretty sure that statement is in context of an entire framework of thought which I’m not a part of

The quote means nothing to me

You said a bunch of nothing.

The meaning of the hijab transcends anything you’re talking about. It’s never meaningless and stating that in whatever context is hateful rhetoric and insulting to Muslims. You just belittled the religion and people by saying things like that.

Idgaf what the west, Iran, whatever country has to say. The meaning of the hijab is defined clearly in the Quran and held to same standard regardless of who wears it or doesn’t.

Bruh, find me a verse in the Quran that asks women to wear Hijab or even states the word. The quran states both men and women to dress modestly, and for women to guards their bosoms. Niqab, Hijab and Burkas were popularized by the cultures that inherited Islam to protect women from men. In Iran it's used to oppress women. GTFO here with your bs

    Hadith 146 Sahih Bukhari.

The authorities refer to this hadith to justify it.

The wives of the Prophet (ﷺ) used to go to Al-Manasi, a vast open place (near Baqiat Medina) to answer the call of nature at night.Umar used to say to the Prophet (ﷺ) "Let your wives be veiled," but Allah's Apostle did not do so. One night Sauda bint Zama the wife of the Prophet (ﷺ) went out atIsha' time and she was a tall lady. `Umar addressed her and said, "I have recognized you, O Sauda." He said so, as he desired eagerly that the verses of Al-Hijab (the observing of veils by the Muslim women) may be revealed. So Allah revealed the verses of "Al-Hijab" (A complete body cover excluding the eyes).

It doesn't matter if it is in the Quran. The Ulemma construct the Sharia law based on Quran and Hadiths (traditions of the prophet).

That's because Quran doesn't cover every legal matter.

When the creep told the prophet he saw and recognized his Tall Queen Souda taking a dump the almighty revealed the following verses.

“O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close round them (when they go abroad). That will be better, so that they may be recognised and not annoyed. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.” (Quran 33:59).
