Its a shame this dropped so late in the year, won't get the recognition it deserves on the year end lists.
Wildflower didn’t get too heavy acclaim even p4k just left it out entirely in there end of year list
Regardless of what they think I still think its a great record
I listened to this at 1am and it hit me harder than my previous listens. This might be in my top 3 aoty
First listen today. It’s such a great album. It’s not just an album, it’s an experience.
when Born To Lose hits
might be my fav part of the album right there
real one detected
i think its the best song. love where its placed on the album too
can't stop hitting play as soon as this thing finishes
yesterday I listened to SILY > WF > WWALY as one big playlist and it hit so hard

Me too
was big fan of sily but didn't connect with wildflower tbh
I love both of those albums but I think this is better than wildflower, it's certainly a more appreciable body of work
this one is easily needs several relistens
as usual super cohesive experience with more focus on vocals.

This is better than wf imo

damn Robbie really had serious problems in his life
making this album even more special

SILY rly being about quitting booze this def paints a very different picture of why it took so long for Wildflower too. Glad he gained enough distance to talk about it so honestly now, proud of him 🙏
It's also a such an important story rn to counter that tired "drugs create the music" myth since he's always stressing that the drinking was what kept him from creating the whole time...
Lowkey when I saw them live in Japan summer '17 I was kinda pissed because the show wasn't very good imo (they tried to perform most samples and features with live instruments and singers and it just sounded sloppy), I guess it was chaotic for a reason since Robbie just came out of rehab and they probably didn't have enough time to practice, so I guess I can't be mad about that anymore

+ very much a headphone album works better for me

that's not what he's saying - just that it felt right at the time. i'm sure his issues contributed to the music but there was a way bigger group at the time and esp dudes like darren who contributed a lot
i get bands shed people and you move on but there is a bit of revisionism going on with respect to who made the first album
I wish Darren Seltmann was still apart of Avalanches he played a big part of my fav track from them ‘extra kings’ beautiful track.
