Had to turn this off cause it was making my gf so sad never seen her tear up like that for a movie

just watched this with the gf last night, almost had to cut it off after the Jenny part cuz she was visibly devastated but said she wanted to know how it ends she ended up hating it

i liked it a decent bit. real pretty, emotional film.

I'm not sure if we made it to the Jenny part but I had to turn it off after Farrell gets punched by the cop and starts crying as Gleeson drives hum to the fork in the road. I was snickering at how overly maudlin it was but she was actually crushed.

I didn’t cry but it does get pretty rough, I was more so engaged by Colin reaction and slow dark turn

No lie I was rooting for Colin to take that dark turn…not to burn down the crib but to finally stand up for himself

Also I think what I loved the most is Colum wasn’t 100% against the friendship…he showed small moments of missing that friendship and defending Colin’s character, a very realistic display of being contradictory as a human

holy f*** this movie was so good what a breath of fresh air

also what a great film about boundaries. i can’t imagine being haunted by some guy i don’t like anymore on an unescapable island goddamn we really are blessed to be able to just drop people nowadays

Hoped I'd like this more. The humor didn't hit with me as much as it did with his other films. Some interesting ideas here but overall it was fine. Didn't get as much of an emotional connection with it as others seemed to.
