Hoped I'd like this more. The humor didn't hit with me as much as it did with his other films. Some interesting ideas here but overall it was fine. Didn't get as much of an emotional connection with it as others seemed to.
Same tbh. Was really excited for this but didnt get as much out of it as I'd hoped.
I never told him that, daddy! He's just drunk now!
watched this absolutely wrecked when it was in theatres, gotta rewatch lol
Truly a perfect movie to be drunk for
I really liked this but the ending wasn't great
My take on it was the movie was saying, you don’t get to just wash your hands of simple people. They’re always gonna be there. Weighing you down. And maybe they should be. Maybe that’s just a part of the human experience. I think a more definitive ending, like having one of the characters die, would have felt wrong. I like how it just implies the characters are going to be stuck in a never-ending feud.
Great movie. Thoroughly engaging the whole time. Colin Farrell played such a likable character (even when he was trying to be a d*** lol). Kerry Condon was great too. Wanted to punch Brendan Gleeson‘s character for Padraic
Everyone was great. There’s def some humorous moments like the touché scene lol.
Absolutely loved this movie. Really moved me in ways I haven’t felt in a long time. Colin Farrell was just amazing in this. Perfect mixture of being a naturally funny guy in a state of despair. His quips in this movie were delivered perfectly
Only thing that took me out was the priest. Dude actually looked like a real life Gru from Despicable Me.
The more I think about it, I have to mention how tragic of a character Dominic was. Barry Keoghan was in his bag too
so Colm last minute tried to rekindle their friendship or atleast the respect they had for eachother?
What a d***head
Living on an island like that seems like hell. Dominic realizing he never stood a chance
Martin McDonaugh is so good at making these “nice little movies” about morbid topics. I don’t know how else to put it.
I loved this and the premise in of itself was brilliant. It’s such a childish but relatable thing a good amount of people have went through
Wanted to watch this movie since i saw lot of people had this in their top 10 this year. watched it and im not disappointed. beautiful movie but dark story. to my surprise this movie clicked to me instantly.

Island was beautiful
