what I love about Soderbergh that as much as he is a master of this craft, he is equally a student. I feel like he loves giving himself a task or an assignment with each project. Like "oh I'm going direct a whole TV show, I'm going to re-score all of raiders of the lost ark to reznor cues, I'm going to make a ghost movie from the perspective of the ghost." Him taking over the directing seat to finish principal photography reads as another "I am going to help another filmmaker complete his vision by sticking to his game plan exactly". So for that I am excited, very very cool.

everything aside from Reeves' personal situation, this is a dream come true. soderbergh is one of the goats and if nothing else will carry the rest of matt's vision out to a tee...this movie is in great hands rn, possibly even better ones
Soderburgh is a big fan of the first film, wants to ensure as smooth as a transition as possible, wants nothing else but finish out the film to Matt’s exact vision, is working with Matt (and the cinematographer) to get the last few weeks of footage and then Matt will take over for the post production as he normally would.
It sounds like it was either this or scrapping the film, so I think this is somewhat a win
I feel like we aren’t even going to be able to tell by the time the film comes out. And in 40 years, the fact Soderbergh even did this will be a fun fact that isn’t much talked about because of how little it is felt in the final product
Yeah obviously it would’ve been ideal for Matt to do the whole thing, but him having directed roughly 40% already and him returning for post-production is a huge win
Sounds like he has a major role

This is the best case scenario
This one came across my timeline again lmao

I absolutely wouldn’t have watched despite being a Bat fanboy (I wear Bat clothing irl lmfao and I still haven’t seen Batman v Superman..).
Sounds like he has a major role

When do they restart
“Still the director”
The man himself said he won’t leave the movie lol
Movie is cursed
s*** if you run me over use the footage some how
LMAOOO this is how it gets spoiled
Absolutely insane snipe by Sneider. Went against his own reporting with no one corroborating him and was right
Ngl it became kinda obvious for me BTH might be in prosthetics for the film when he did the Jennifer Hudson interview and still had his same locs and facial hair
beast mode imo. f*** predictability. go nuts with this cast
Crazy
