To add to that point, his arc was all about realizing that he needed to be more than a source of terror for the punks in order to serve Gotham effectively.

Overall the movie was cool. There were things I loved about it, things I'm meh on, but I'd like to see more of this world

The Penguin chase sequence was amazing, the paragliding out of Gotham PD was cool too. Y'all really got a hate boner for this one

One of my favorite fight sequences in all the Live Action Batman films involves Batman straight up mauling bad guys in a warehouse so take that as you will

there was no good reason for batman to chase after penguin and practically terrorize the freeway and then move on with no remourse without realizing the error of his ways in that instance

I really liked the movie when i first saw it. And i still do think it good. but it doesnt really hold up on rewatch. Some scenes were dragged on way too long and it did not to be three hours long.

If this jawn was thirty minutes shorter the pacing could have been a lot better.

I hope Reeves and co really improve the pacing for the sequel.

I wish Reeves wasn't so obsessed with making Batman so grounded and realistic. Not that there is anything wrong with that but we've seen it already with Nolan.

With Gunn Batman incoming with that probably being fully wacky sci fi and fantasy Batman, Reeves probably gonna double down with the realism.
