first one had moments of greatness
sequel got mad potential still so ill be there u not wrong
but i'd be lying if i said i think reeves gonna pull off a 10/10

He needs to tap in the Cloverfield/Dawn pacing for the sequel imo, the world is already established enough. Just throw Bats into the s***tiest situation within the first 30 mins & let him suffer for two hours

The potential is there for part two to be really dope. To make a dark, gothic, and epic Batman flick. Pattinson has aura as Batman as the kids say

The pieces and bones are all there.

I just hope Reeves and Frasier learn some lessons from the criticisms of part one and dont double down. And Part One being a hit gasses their head up into making it even more self indulgent and pretentious.

well pretentious is the wrong word. I meant the sequel could get pretentious if left unchecked. Which seems to be happening with Joker 2 from the venice reviews.

I know I’m the only person who really really loves the movie itt , but I’m standing on that take

    NO

Im hoping Brave and The Bold is good too but Andy movies might be a little too wacky and goofy for even a lighter and fantastical Batman movie.

Even his horror movies feel very silly at times.

batman recklessly driving and causing a giant pile up where it's impossible innocent civilians weren't killed
    sure it looked awesome though

I do have a counter argument for this one

At this point Batman is still all about vengeance and cracking down on corruption. By the end of the film however he sees what he could be for the people of Gotham and actively chooses to be more of a hero and less of a reckless vigilante. Obviously we won’t see the real effects or change in the character until the second film but it’s still something to point out.

Like this mf was ZONED IN on catching Oswald rather than making sure no damage was caused

Bill Skarsgard trying his hardest to be a leading man with that megaflop Crow movie and Boy Kills world so i wouldn't be surprised if he tries to go for DCU Batman.

But sorry bro its not working you better put that pennywise suit back on and wear it for the rest of your career lol

    fair enough
but still doesnt work for me especially when movies biggest defenders hate batfleck and say he breaks character mold for killing in bvs but this a decent enough defense tho
i understand pattinson learned a lot by the end of the film

    I always loved Returns.

Keaton as Batman is barely in it. but Pfeiffer , Devito, and Walken were hamming it up like crazy to make up for it.

Look I agree for the place Batman is in during BvS, him killing in THAT movie kind of works. He’s at a low point, Robins dead, he just witnessed what he thought was a man purposely wipe out Metropolis. For THAT story it kind of works. It’s kind of a similar arc to The Batman a little if you think about it. It’s not until the end where he finally understands Superman where he stops killing. Superman became a symbol of hope for him and that inspired the creation of the Justice League. Superman inspired him to be better.

So again, for BvS, Batman killing kind of makes sense. I may not love that, but I understand why it was done.
