"no one will remember you or the BBs"
@Ithaka

Mike really gonna cowrite Don't Go Near The Water then go out and represent the "conservatives"
they don't conserve s***
thats thanks to jack rieley who was a young hip dj and was hired as manager to rebrand the band among the cool people, smile was picking up traction so he suggested they make an album set based off of the emblematic song, he randomly found the artwork as a postcard i believe, either him or carl or something along those lines iirc
Thatâs an epic story.
Thank you for sharing, I never knew this about the surfs up artwork.
Thank you Jack Rieley
thatâs why im here
Facts King.
No one will ever forget the Beach Boys as long as @op exists
I wish my grandfather could have saw this movie
this foldout imagery really ties the package together
ecological desolation coinciding with Brians emotional desolation

70s af wonder who found that photo
Mike really gonna cowrite Don't Go Near The Water then go out and represent the "conservatives"

itâs ironic that him writing this song is the prequel to sip when you think about it
Thatâs an epic story.

Thank you Jack Rieley
if it werenât for him idk how the 70s run wouldâve been, surfs up, holland and so tough is all under his direction of rebranding them - once he was gone it went bad again (15 big ones, MIU album..)
he wrote some great lyrics too (you need a mess to stand alone) and is the one singing on âa day in the life of a treeâ
Dang didn't realize Brian only wrote the last three
obviously one of which was already around. What was his headspace for the sessions? How involved was he op
Ok I can imagine his headspace just off the 2 new songs
he thought he was doomed

A wonderful rebrand Jack Rieley did in the 70s as well this is a king for sure.
He is a đ for doing all those albums covers. Hollandâs is one of my favourite album covers ever made.
Once again Thank You Jack Rieley.
Yeah heâs a đ also wrote lyrics as well
(You need a mess to stand alone) a fantastic song.
The singing on a day in the life of a tree is epic
I am glad to know who is behind the singing.
Reading the lyrics as I listen and Bruce just killed me with that legendary Disney Girls bridge whose lyrics I could never quite make out
"Love...Hi Rick and Dave
Hi Pop...Well good morning mom
Love...get up guess what
I'm in love with a girl I found
She's really swell
Cause she likes
Church, bingo chances and old time dances"
Dang didn't realize Brian only wrote the last three

this is carl waiting by the phone for brians instructions for the album - brian was in the same house, just in a separate room, isolating himself in bed and starting hard on d****
the flop of sunflower was the beginning of his dark reclusion hardcore years
til i die wasnât even a newly written song on the spot for the album, it was something brian did in 1969 and played it on piano for mike love with already all the lyrics in mind, mike love turned it down said it was depressing
love and mercy thoughts and quotes / write up

Thank you for that. That makes more sense brother.
Ok I can imagine his headspace just off the 2 new songs

the reason dennis took back his songs and shelved them is bc jack insisted the project had to focus on surfs up and have the song as its closer - dennis wanted âwouldnât it be nice to live againâ to close the album, carl agreed with jack to go with surfs up which is why dennis walked away with his songs
I tried my best at a write up / quote list.
Iâm not so great at it but I have been trying to get better.
Whoever sequenced the album so you can just flip to side 2 after Disney Girls is a real one
already coming up with tricks to help pretend Student Demonstration Time doesn't exist
