FOUND IT @Elric

hereās the crazy part behind this is that the singer of this band later in the 70s under a new project did a hit single that became a STAMP of franceās music pop culture
so itās sooooo insane to find out that this singer of this MASSIVE hit pop song before all that the dude was in the sixties doing a cover of a smiley smile song and translating it and s***!!!

"It won't last forever, either, but the memories will."
dude was just 20yo when he said that, dam
he was all about that
this reminds me of this nice ambitious suite song made in homage to dennis a year after his passing:

(notice the outro the melody picks from donāt worry baby, curious)

Your voice sounds eerily similar to John Lennonās. How much of your music would you say is influenced by The Beatles, and how do you feel about your voice being compared with his?
Kevin Parker: Consciously, none of it. Iām really not thinking about The Beatles when Iām making music. I love The Beatles. I respect them, but I donāt listen to them and I certainly donāt⦠I donāt even own any of their albums.
Really?
Kevin Parker: Yeah, no. Most of my friends are bigger Beatles fans than me. Itās totally weird. I canāt understand what is causing that being compared to John Lennon but I listen back to it as well and Iām like, āYeah, that does sound like The Beatles.ā Thereās even a song on the new album that I was deliberately trying to not sound like them. I was actually trying to sound like The Beach Boys, because the song had kind of a Beach Boys quality to it. I was trying to sound like Brian Wilson.

what was he ON bro serious godlike complex phase right there, he looks like he gonna start a cult in oregon
AMAZING single stand alone song tho, we tend to let that one slide bc itās not on album so it goes over our heads easy, but what a great catchy power poppy upbeat song that is welcome during that era!
i believe it was co-written by wilsons father? it was about the end of their deal with capitol iirc
this might be mike love top worst outfit tho:

my dude WHAT did you just got out of shower????
again sad look to put on to promote another great underrated bbs song, lyrics written by jack rieley, dude really carried the bands 70s revival itās hard to imagine what they wouldāve been legacy wise they that decade if it wasnāt for his input

another band that has some strong history with the boys as we have documented it...
in 1980 even when the beach boys were seen as washed they covered a deep album cut
those harmonies

this goes out to all the fleetwood mac fam out there
this makes me think of the inevitable for brian... im so scared

im happy to see him still going for it, he sounds on pitch, even more so before starting to perform, and itās a great rare take since thereās no hiding behind his band backup singers or mixed stuff and what not
but when he blinks he eyes and it goes white, im like wow he is getting old
he lived quite a life, but im not ready to face this i still dont know how i would take that news
