soon as they started talking about a review I knew that s*** would come the last episode if at all this season
lmfso my dad said he’s watching s1 right now cause he found a stream site that has korean subtitles
said he fw it so far
No resolution to Carmen’s relationship with Claire.
No resolution to Carmen’s relationship with Richie.
Didn’t find out if syd’s staying or going.
Barely even learned about the review.
What actually happened this season? If we’re going purely by plot, this season was not it
At least Carmy's relationship with Claire was addressed throughout the entire season. Past episode 3, Carmy's relationship with Richie is barely even touched on. After episode 5 I don't think it was even mentioned again. I was really disappointed by that
Aside from what seemed to be the total brushing aside of Carmy and Richie's relationship past episode 5, this season had some really good writing. I know it's personal preference, but I will never be upset at episodes dedicated to character development and backstory. Not everything needs an instant payoff.
my girl put this on. didnt expect to like it, i binged the first season in like 2-3 days
a couple episodes into s2 currently
I liked some of the side episodes but my god that one with the mom in the hospital was sooooo boring I tuned it out towards the end
Needed more of the dead brother

Just finished the episode and I agree. Was hoping they'd switch to Carmy or the other characters and that just never happened. Episode needed more than Sugar saying "hee hee" while going through labor

Episode was brutal..
first episode of the new season
Wild take to me, I loved it. Brilliant storytelling imo, engrossed me with minimal dialogue. And the world-building
Will probably end up in my top 3 episodes after it's over
Finished S3 and yeah, that really was not it
Complete filler. Nothing got resolved. Some great backstory for some characters but that's all
Show just doesn't feel realistic and I can't get invested into it. Carmy being so unnecessarily wasteful doesn't feel legit and his uncle doesn't seem to be angry enough about his nephew pissing away thousands of dollars. Who tf is eating this fancy ass food? Why didn't Carmy just call Claire? And they're charming yeah, but I can never get into Faks type characters. Like there's no way someone that stupid actually exists and it always takes me out of the show
The best part was Carmen's confrontation with Joel McHale's character in the finale and Syd going through the same thing Carmy did. But the show is way overhyped imo. It having more Emmy noms than actual comedies is insane. A lot of scenes feel like we're supposed to admire how cool Jeremy Allen White is smoking a cigarette while looking pensive
Really hope S4 is the last one and they actually bring it to a satisfying conclusion. Can't take 2+ more seasons of this

This season on the whole has been very divisive, as it's the closest that we get to almost "slice of life"
Agreed on the Faks, except I actively dislike them and wish a truck would crash into the Bear and only hit them.
Carmy brooding is a Lil boring after a while but Syd's plot carried the whole season imo, not that there was a whole lot of it, but it's interesting to see her presented with an opportunity to have free reign that she craves while also starting to show the drawbacks of working in such an anxiety inducing environment. Very interesting dynamic that poses the question of real fears of complacency that come from stability vs excellence and innovation from toxicity.
From a character standpoint, I was digging this season and I'm still curious about what happens, but I hope the next season is the last one.
