This worked best when it was genuinely being serious, but it changes tones way too much and it felt sloppy, alot of the humor fell flat

Seeing American Fiction tomorrow, might hit this up next weekend though

Saw this last night. Very ambitious and a little all over the place tonally but I admire the risks and I was entertained throughout the whole movie. Harder They Fall felt a little more focused. 7.5/10

Whole Cast is great.

Lakeith is great as the lead, Omar Sy was funny asf and RJ Cyler next up, Jeymes needs to make him the lead of his next flick.

Also crazy to see Caleb all grown up from Stranger Things, bro got a whole beard.

The tonal shifts almost took me out of the movie.

Especially the comedic white Jesus scene before Clarence is crucified

I see what they were trying with that "they always take our babies" line his mom yelled but that s*** was so jarring and out of place in this movie.

I was really hyped for this cause I thought it was a Monthy Python like comedy about biblical topics but reading through thread it seems like there’s a lot more serious drama in it than I expected
