instead of all that @op should be watching @YoungNastyShawty for the real content
I do and I have the feeling that he would mostly agree with me.

Ya girl right for knocking your character too
Yeah I was to going to say @op we really need to start becoming the change we want to see. Try digging deeper and finding the independent content creators because by watching those you're continuing to support that problematic content and feeding into the cycle. I don't know any off the top of my head but think channels with less than 1k subs or 1k views. We need to start watching them to help improve the media and replace the old guard and current gatekeepers

Yeah I’ve said several times that hip hop media is in a garbage place. Majority of the people at the top be on major f*** s***
I used to love their reviews and discussions but honestly they're ages are really starting to show when they talk about any new relevant rappers and it's not as entertaining as a decade ago when they were in touch
yeah you're not fully wrong, but i still think it can be interesting for some reason. a lot of discussion tends to have the opposite bias where people are pre-exposed to an artist or type of music so they already know what they're gonna think of it practically before it even comes out. sometimes it's interesting to see how people completely out of their element react to stuff. i think they're self-aware of this though because i haven't watched them in awhile but last time i checked they were trying to bring on additional staff who were all a lot younger to balance them out. in general though i agree they're past their prime for content
they aren't super relevant really but DEHH is cool and one of the few really genuine/sincere content creators out there. they've been going strong for such a long time now and regardless of how actually informed they may be on what's new or trending they're one of the few content creators left who give opinions completely detached from mainstream discourse in a sincere way
I fw the old niggas. Of course they gonna be out of touch bout stuff but I’d rather listen to people who’s been listening to rap before I was born, vs listening to somebody who just started listening to rap in 2015

I agree. Everyone go subscribe to YNS
I can tell when a nigga gf pissed him off
Lol the gf drove the point home for this nigga. He wrote a book about it
He's a quarter Haitian, one drop rule
Let Ye say all that BS about Jewish People and then bragged about how many views before everyone stepped in and he had to apologize.
Yea one drop rule for the one black parent. Aint no 1/4 drop let that nigga be whatever mayo he is
I wouldn’t consider all of these “Black/Hip-Hop” media, but yeah pretty much. All Def Digital was cool for a moment but even then it was shaky more often than not

My point was that there isn't enough good platforms and I shouldn't be judged for that. Especially in the case of the most popular ones.
Company Man is well spoken and polite
i understand why he left hiphopdx but man career/platofrm-wise he really blew it with doing that so early into his popularity and then immediatedly going on a hiatus for so long with similar content. feels like he way overestimated how much of the hhdx audience would follow him to being independent, which is rough because hhdx isn't even that popular to begin with. sucks because the dude is super knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the genre
What makes red table talk and the real garbage.
And don't get why we ignore that these platform have audiences that crave their content daily. The content might be 'negative' but we be consuming it
