I actually don’t hate the guy as much as some other fans, but it would be so damn stupid to keep him here if you’re bringing in a new front office leader

As for our President of Basketball Ops search, initially my thoughts were “who the hell is going to want this job”

But then I thought about where we are now vs where we were when Weaver was hired. When Weaver was hired we were staring down Blake Griffins ridiculous dead cap money. We had no assets whatsoever. We were staring at the ground on a free fall.

Right now we are on the ground staring up. We have a ridiculously good cap situation. We have Cade (who is currently a star and will continue to grow). We have Ausar (who is already elite defensively and by all accounts is a great culture guy and super hard worker). We have Duren (who sucks on defense, but is only TWENTY years old?! and already one of the best offensive Centers in the league). We have a potential Top 3 pick in the draft. And we have Ivey (…who sucks lol).

All in all, seems like a very advantageous situation to put on your resume at the very least, because it’s practically a guarantee to improve this team right away.

Of all the draft lotteries in the last decade we’ve been involved in, this is probably the one I care about winning the least lol

But f*** it, I’ll take what I can get at this point

Two years in a row with the worst record in the NBA, and two years in a row dropping the furthest possible spot in the draft
