Vast majority of Pistons fans online (especially Reddit) are absolutely insufferable, would not be surprised in the slightest if some of them have sent death threats to Monty and Troy
They have no idea what it means to be patient and how to rebuild a franchise. We’ve actually been super competitive this year compared to last year even if we don’t have the wins to prove it (not to mention Duren and Bogey have been out)
Nah we suck fam lol

We’ve had some really horrible losses in the last week, but prior to that we were playing super close games (against good teams) deep into the 4th quarter
I honestly think we need to trade Cade
There’s no way he’s re-signing
We need to trade him while can can get value and look to the draft

Lol chilllll
A) we haven’t used used our cap space yet, we’re not trying to be good yet. We can add really good players at the trade deadline or in the offseason. Troy was just hoping to evaluate the current players without any big stars added
B) Cade has like 3 years left on his deal
C) Cade seems like a pretty loyal guy, and even if he’s not he’ll take the larger max contract that only the current team can offer
D) the 2024 draft is being considered a bad draft by a lot of scouts
That man is going through it. Feel bad for Krispy
Brooklyn tomorrow is going to be the easiest W ever, book it
Unironically think yall are winning 1 of those

Ya'll not gonna win that. As long as Mikal Bridges is there we straight.
I want us to set the losing streak
Only way that real change will occur
I see this general sentiment among the fan base a lot — that there seems to have been obvious huge mistakes made by Troy/Ownership since 2020.
But I don’t see it personally. I’d be curious if that’s how you feel, what are specific huge mistakes that you think were obvious at the time to have made an alternate decision?
I just see it as an absolutely horrible string of bad luck. I love the culture Troy has established. I love the patience he has shown (it will be the most painful thing ever if we make another Blake Griffin type trade), and Monty was what 99.9% of Pistons fans and general NBA fans thought was the best coach available for us (whether they want to admit it now or not).

Huge mistakes: We have no shooters. No veterans. Our spacing is terrible
As far as culture- what culture has been established?
This is more than bad luck. This is a bad team up and down
And to be honest, I’m not big on Cade

Shooters: Bojan and Burks and Harris and Monte Morris were supposed to be very well established shooters entering the season, injuries and inconsistent play came unexpectedly though. The hope was Stewart would shoot 35% this year also…and he’s shooting 39% on 3.6 attempts a game.
Vets: those first 4 guys I mentioned for shooters were supposed to be our vets too. Again, injuries and inconsistent play tho.
Spacing: see shooting
Culture: we’ve been losing non stop for like 3 years and there has been not a single peep about locker room problems, all reports talk about how our young core are all absolute grinders that try to lift each other up and are all great people
Cade: for the first 3 weeks or so, yeah he struggled but this is what he’s averaged over the last 30 days while CONSTANTLY facing double and triple teams because he’s the only one opposing defenses take seriously:
46% FG shooting, nearly 5 FTs a game shooting 88% from the line, 4 boards, 7 assists, 3 TOs (down 2 from what he started the year) 23 points
He still has a ways to go, but he just turned 22 3 months ago, and this is basically his second NBA season.
How the Pistons, one of the NBA's most storied franchises, cratered
