Devil itt
Gonna let this thread rock cause lowkey kinda agree
That‘s why music is haram @op
One of the reasons. Also cause it impacts our feelings and mood too much. Like listening to abel can make u real sad / feeling down

Yeah, Abel/PND or R&B in general has a weird effect on me.
You kinda proving my point and don't even know it.
You brought up how these corrupt or predatory pastors out there can filter out the messages of gospel songs and hymns when they're living their lives.
Many people do the same exact thing for other types of music. The biggest consumers of Heavy Metal and Gangster rap are suburban White kids with disposable income. I'm sure plenty of them and others can "filter" things out the same way.
And parents play a huge role. I grew up in the hood under joinrt custody from my divorced parents. Listened to AEOM, Ready To Die, GRODT, and DMX's first album as a youngster and never did crazy s*** cause of how my parents raised me.
Dysfunctional households will have a negative influence on kids, with or without music involved. And, if something traumatic happens, it can lead to mental illness...another thing that influences people negatively if not treated properly.
Yes family and parenting are, of course, of greatest importance. However it takes the entire political, social, and economic order for parents to raise virtuous children. It used to be the entire village or town participated in the raising of the kids. That is not the case anymore and further the potential for negative or bad influence is tenfold due to the current Information Age.
Over the years there has been a noticeable increase in the criticism of social media as more and more people realize its potential negative impact on not just kids but people of all ages - many now choose to delete their apps and move on. Just think how many kids are running around absorbing the ideas of childless weirdos like Foucault and Adorno filtered through various influencers on Tiktok and Tumblr and Twitter lol. Whats a parent to do about that? Block all access? Monitor constantly? Forbid them from speaking to their classmates? Its near impossible and certainly a losing battle.
As people already question one form of media, social media, they will naturally begin questioning other forms of media too. Music/film/video games etc. The popular position will no longer be "Video games dont cause violence stupid boomer!!" but rather "Yeah video games can have a negative impact and we need to be aware of that"
Personally I try not to consume anything I know is obviously bad for my soul and would encourage everyone else to do the same!

i think it's up to the person listening to just not allow it have negative effects on you. it's just unlikely to say that a nigga who only listens to king von 24/7 is a outstanding member of society or even a good person
Songs about murder, rape, and general brutality have been around long before Christianity was even a faith. Typical religious logic tho to just claim the devil is responsible for a complex issue you don’t understand. OP would probably think someone was possessed by a demon if they had a seizure 100 years ago and he was around lol.
Because someone can say the worse things you would never agree to in a song and if it sounds enchanting enough you’ll agree with fervor
Prostitution? Murder? Carnage ? Mutual massacre of the black community ? Selling d**** to a pregnant woman? Glamourizibg a d*** you know is tormenting you to millions of impressionable children ? Abusing women? Being deceitful etc
This a real nigga right here I agree bro

You’re reinforcing my statements, music was always wicked
