You’d be surprised how many people think Africa is just villages in jungles and some sand up north.
I need to visit, at the very least, Nigeria some day. My grandmother was Yoruba. My daughter has her name, so it'd be cool for her to see where her name comes from. Idk if they'll f*** with me out there, I'm mixed and hella fair skinned.
what was the point of your statement? I said North Africa is undeniably part of Africa and you said we weren't subject to slavery? Slavery is not the criteria to be an African country
Wtf, who posted that ignorant ass s***? The post is deleted, smh.
Man said read the fine print: *no diversity
Do you think Africa is just split in two parts? Do you think the map just says NORTH AFRICA and THE REST OF THAT S*** ? Lol
South africa
I thought so Probably around Sutherland. Never been but I really want to go there, never seen snow in my life
Just came back from Cairo a few weeks ago. Surprised me how diverse it was out there. I blended right in.
Funny because I was watching mad YouTube videos preparing for the trip and I had none of the experiences these white vloggers had. Made some good friends and stayed in some areas Americans would consider dangerous but the people were extremely hospitable and again, I blended in so it was smooth.
Thinking about staying out there for six months 2023. May visit South Africa while there
Good thread

Idk how it is in Nigeria but I’m “mixed” (half Ghanaian/half Black American) and Ghanaians treated me well when I went. I’m brown skinned and I don’t know the native tongue and I was still treated nicely

Nobody really cares man. If anything the women love the American accent. Just be kind, approachable and easygoing and people will always love that.
I speak my countries Native tongue yet use English 90% of the time when back home. It’s really only the older generation or people still living in the village who don’t speak English majority of the time.
neil degrasse tyson went on a monologue about africa being the most genetically diverse place in the world in his rogan interview last week. the europeans just decided to focus on skin colour. good listen

1 love Kenya 🖤❤️💚 gotta make a trip out there. My cousins rave about it all the time
Africans have more genetic diversity than the entirety of the rest of the world. Meaning that a Chinese person is genetically more similar to somebody from Ireland than an Ethiopian is to a Nigerian.
