Crazy how this was ignored btw

People keep bringing up the late 00s and early 10s for Dream, but has he done anything since then? Critics forgot him (he was critic darling back then). Fans forgot him. He doesn't get radio play anymore. Barely any features in the latter half of the 10s, then he was overtaken by all the recent r&b cats. Weeknd foremost took his shine. It's a fact, and I love the Love trilogy, revolutionary for r&B

R&B as a whole fell off in popularity and Dream been more focused on writing stuff anyway

Just cuz he’s not popping like he used to isn’t a knock on him as an artist. He still makes great music and feeds his fans. He doesn’t need all the fame like that at this stage in his career

Not even Covid limbo could make me peep that, I listened to an album of his on release date a couple years ago and fell asleep literally.

I considered myself a Dream fan like many of y'all, but I tried to peep Sextape 1-3 in 2018 or something and it didn't intrigue me, I really think he lost his magic. I don't get why he still bigs himself up like he's the s*** anymore. I guess I will check out a few songs from the album then.

on ur edit I get that, but musically he hasn't been interesting. he's definitely better than the playlist r&b artists nowadays, but still lost his touch
