What albums/artists made your early 2020’s?

Billy Woods and KA run was incredible to witness

Bad Bunny era was crazy

Huge fall off for sure

Kendrick on his 2nd run, not number wise but business wise. Guess that’s why he said he had to work on his business side Super Bowl a big look that’s straight business

A few artists come up here and there but Ojerime has to up there as my fave of the early 20's

Shout out to Mach Hommy too

he had ONE underperformance

Taylor Swift

Caroline Polachek

Christine and the Queens

The Smile

Q Marsden was another contender too

I enjoyed going down the Detroit/Flint rabbit hole in 2020 after Teejayx6 went viral

The Real Rx guys held me down for the longest

Don Toliver has been a great artist and built a solid discog

I’ve enjoyed a little bit of everything when it comes to rap. And I ventured more into rock and jazz this decade.

Feel like allot of artists from the 2010’s either plateaued or just kinda went mid

I’ve also been enjoying the OG’s dropping heat like Nas, Common & LL Cool J

Devin Morrison I’m obsessed with when it comes to R&B

I do think allot of good to great albums have come out in rap this decade but not allot of unanimous classics

Yves Tumor still got best album of the decade

Worst half a decade in hip-hop history

Had some great moments though but both early and late 2010s, 00s, definitely 90s, and even 80s easily clears early 20s lol

If we counting late 70s I’ll rank the early 20s over that

2020s for rap as a whole so far ranks lower than the 80s

Early 2020’s I believe is an underground rap fans dream and I’m not talking Melzcore. I think there’s so many interesting little rappers scattered all over and for the most part everyone makes good music but there’s no one that really pierces the mainstream and that’s where rap is in its worst state
