Game had never matched the success he had with the Unit.

He killed his self if that's your take.

Game became an artist and toured by himself. G-Unit never did.

How many albums and mixtapes did Game even drop?

He had no choice but to tour own his own, he got kicked out of the hottest camp in Hip Hop.

Jimmy Henchman ruined that kid's career.

Nah, 50 wishes G-Unit would have toured on their own like Game, instead of depending on him all the time.

    Massacre was really good.

It's still kinda underrated even after going Diamond

anybody would go diamond at least after an album as impactful and great as grodt no matter how good it is. Massacre was decent as best

    He just has more albums.

LAX, Red Album were both weak af and after he left the Interscope machine people stopped caring about Game completely.

Game didnt single handedly end the Unit.

There were a lot of factors at work.

I am not kidding. I was a 10 year old white kid in a Canadian city in those pinstripe tall tees 2 for 20 from footlocker telling my mom Olivia was a man and s***. Truly buck wild

    It was weak tho.

Mainly cause Banks swapped out punchlines for babble raps.

    In no order:

-The sales beef with Kanye in 07 marked the start of a new era in rap that they weren't prepared for at all

-The Game leaving and beefing with them hurt their image as a group and made people divided(Remember G Unot)

-No one besides 50 really had the image or personality to be a star and carve out their own lane

-Their music fell way off. The Massacre was alright but Banks and Buck's 2nd albums were disappointing and TOS was straight trash with a terrible/dated lead single

-50's constant beefs kept them isolated and in their own bubble. At 1st, it was okay cause 50 was on top and Em/Dre still had buzz. But, once 50 fell off, Em was on d****, and Detox never happened, the hype for them died down big time and they couldn't even spark buzz through major collabs cause of 50's beefs

That means you wasn’t listening to gunit like that

  • Oct 1, 2020

I think 50 just wasnt a good executive. None of the acts he signed really worked out except for game and buck and they were basically handed to him. Even mobb deep didnt see much success on gunit. The original members of gunit were too dependent on 50 for success so after he fell they fell off too

  • Their s*** aged horribly

    A handful of things.

    • Game obliterated them with the mixtapes and DVDs

    • 50 signing too many artists and obscuring what G Unit really was

    • Other members besides 50 releasing mid

    • Gangsta rap becoming less relevant around 2007 with Kanye Graduation etc

    Correct post
