Rts has nothing to dowith what year it is, its literally a genre and type of gameplay that is needed for strategy and having information of whats going on
This would be like saying "lol first person its 2023 - doom came out 4 decades ago get over that camera angle already"
Its a legit gameplay style and perspective lol
And game is amazong and lets you do more than any first person and 3rd person game out there

KenigThe game is never so far wide as an rts. With controller game becomes third person while exploring the world. Only in cambot the camera zooms out a bit since it would be disorienting. In dialogues the game always zooms in super close to showcase facial expressions
You can make it reg 3rd person outside of combat if you zoom in all the way
Its not "halfasses" like Divinity either, its nearly the same as a reg 3rd rpg - just not over the should (so like Skyrim, Witcher etc.)

maxxingHonestly I was disappointed that was the last reveal because I haven’t played the series but it might be my first entry after rewatching the trailer just now, they did a great job
if all the moment to moment gameplay is that exciting… it will be insaneYou dont have to play any of the Monster Hunter entries to jump into the next one - every main entry is its own standalone thing kinda like most final fantasy and pokemon games.

Wilds is the next evolution of MH World engine and aesthetic of last gen - and rumors are it'll be open world or have mini open worlds (like Witcher 3 or Dragons Age Inquistion in a way) upgrading their traditional open areas.

Yeah it probably is ignorant of me to dimiss the genre but I think s*** like those camera angles etc are just jarring, and considering the era we're in you don't get to see the beauty of graphics etc when you're playing birds eye view/wide camera.
Just think strategy games would be more of a hit with wider audiences if they chose to integrate diff angles like like FF

Dialogues are very close to the face where you can see their beautiful facial animations. Exploration can be with joystick controlled 3rd person and fights you can zoom in and out.
Naturally the camera zooms out during fights because you would have no idea what was going on otherwise.
Unless you want to play a totally different game they definitely invented something new for this game its undeniable.
