    Such a stupid post

He was a better rapper before grodt and even after (massacre)

Lol right. GRODT was playful bravado mixtape 50 making focused songs instead of mixtape cuts (which is great stylistically but isn't better as technical rapping than POTD or post 2005 50)

it isn’t. people just pretend it is because it had hits and sold well, while forgetting that about half of the tracks are mid.

a decent product of its time sure. classic my ass.

So because YOU dont like it, that makes it not a classic for everybody?

Explain who you are for your opinion to make that much of an impact

the album is okay. I never said I hate it or anything, just that its vastly overrated and that some people here putting it on the same pedestal as s*** like ready to die, illmatic, it takes a nation, TPAB, the chronic, etc is pretty insane.

for me personally it’s like a 6/10 but that’s irrelevant

50 got 2 classics, GRODT & The Documentary. The Massacre is a good, maybe even great album, but I gotta run it back again before I call it a classic.

    SKI is decent
Animal Ambition was good, slept on
The Kanan Tapes was decent af, but is slept on.

Game is more consistent but I don't use the term "classic" lightly. Having a good album isn't the same as having a classic.

Otherwise, Vince Staples and Denzel Curry got 5 classic albums using that same logic.

I'd say GRODT and GRODT soundtrack meet the criteria for being classic albums. The Massacre is an arguable classic. And 50 has 3 classic mixtapes with Guess Who's Back, 50 Cent Is The Future, and the Kanan Tape.

Game has only one certified classic: The Documentary. And DA is an arguable classic.

You don’t use the term classic lightly but Kanan Tape is a classic?

For mixtape standards, yes which is different from an album.

If not that, I'd replace it with POTD.

In no way is that a classic tape. Quality wise maybe but it didn’t have that impact

man i do not care, the anniversary will come and pass and it won’t change anything about the album being a decent at best product of its time: the beginning of the godforsaken bling/ringtone rap era.

my point is the way y’all just throw the word classic around here. I’ve seen y’all calling albums like 2014FHD, nothing was the same, the eminem show, because the internet, culture, etc classics too lmao

With its hits, cultural significance that spanned an entire era in hip-hop, has stood the test of time for damn near 20 years, still holds up to this day, was a major influence on many rappers after it, and how it catapulted an artist into supe om damn near over night...please explain to us how Get Rich or Die Tryin, is not a classic hip-hop album.

Like I swear y'all just be trying so hard to be a contrarian even when it makes absolutely no sense. You ain't gotta like the album. S*** I didn't even care for it back when it dropped and I still don't. But I'm not gonna sit up here and lie like that s*** hasn't been everywhere since it dropped for the last 20 years.
