literally none of the people we call black revolutionaries are perfect. they've all done f*** s*** that can be attributed to different things/reasons.
Pac died young behind some s*** that all young black men deal with. Pride
What he was doing during that era for black music as a black man was more than we could ask for. His contributions benefited the culture which in turn benefited black history.
He was the face of a coast and a genre of music, he fought for freedom of speech in court, he was intelligent and talented but conflicted.
Had he lived he absolutely would've became a true activist. He was already outspoken on black issues and hated the police. With everything that's happened these last 25 years it's near impossible to imagine he would've stayed silent on what's going on. The minimum I'd take from anyone trying to say otherwise is that he was a revolutionary in the making
I'm leaving what he would have been alone. That's all presumption.
Black Revolutionaries are not running with gangs, saying s*** like this
His contributions benefitted culture but there was also a negative side to it that people don't acknowledge. He wasn't some beaming ray of sunshine. Listen to his catalogue fully. Measure his actions fully. He was not moving like an activist for black people.
A direct quote from him literally "I give you 12 tracks of that real s***, you give me yo 12 dollars and that's it! I ain't gotta be yo role model, none of that" Out of his own mouth.
He did not fight for freedom of speech in court, that's also not what actually happened.
You and others make pac way more than what he is lol Revolutionary, activist, all words that shouldn't be used to describe 2pac. Too strong of words. I don't see it
I call it how I see it. That’s what actually happened. I’m a Stan of the music. When you others try to make pac more than a man it’s cringe to me.
He not MLK, Malcolm x, he not no civil rights deity.
I can acknowledge the great raps from a flawed human being
He really was a rapper Banging the mob pressed a south side crip and died behind it that really happened lol
a black revolutionary and a "civil rights deity" aren't the same thing? People who overdo it and say Pac was like a new age gangster MLK are dumb. but that's not what I'm saying. Pac revolutionized music. black music. he's black. He's a black revolutionary

A revolutionary musician, sure. When I see the word revolutionary and Activist, I don't think of rappers who ganging and outwardly display disdain for their own kind in the manner that Pac did. You could argue his true impact wasn't the most positive.
He died gang banging. He had another rapper killed because of what happened to him. (Biggie). This is not the stuff of a revolutionary, at least with how I view a revolutionary.
Fast forward to 2022, and we still have rappers dying over gang banging s***, and literally in this thread YB is being compared to 2pac in part because of the street s*** he's involved in, and the beefs that he's a part of.
this nigga just be saying s***, probably breaks out in hives if he goes too long without attention
the point he making is that in the eyes of the youth today, YB is gonna be revered more than Pac
not cause he’s better but simply cause they can relate more
Bro aint nobody relating to what youngboy says in songs also youngboy rarely speaks so how is he relatable?
I'm leaving what he would have been alone. That's all presumption.

you should read the autobiography of malcolm x if you dont think black revolutionaries say s*** like that
not saying pacs a revolutionary, but still

I've read it already. Years ago lol The young Malcolm wouldn't have been a revolutionary to me either. He was allowed to become one
Pac because he died wasn't. It is what it is. If your idea is that he would have become one then sure I suppose.
Nigga was a rapper who died banging Piru and pressing Southside crips
Some revolutionary yeah I bet loool
Pac wasn't banging Piru stop pushing c***vlad stories
Pac and YB got some similarities, I love Pac but I think it's okay to compare him to other rappers, especially popular ones like YB.
But post-death xxx has a lot of similarities to Pac.
@Brave am i spittin or nah?
You right that’s exactly what it is. Nobody really in the culture does that stupid s***
Pac wasn't banging Piru stop pushing c***vlad stories
Haha what?
Are you crazy? He literally was telling niggas
"You don't know me like that blood"
complex.com/music/2017/05/2pac-crew-allegedly-pulled-guns-on-teens-at-in-out-burger-before-his-death
You telling me he went up to Baby lane, asked him if he was from Southside, and WASNT banging?
Niggas got the game f***ed up

ive heard this story and im not sure if i believe it or not. But there's no where else he's talking like "blood" talk.
He referenced the mob a few times, but he did spit some crip lingo when he was in the thug life group.
Also, thug life had all LA, Inglewood, and Watts crips, why werent ppl pushing this "joining gangs" narrative then?
I'm leaving what he would have been alone. That's all presumption.

Again, since you completely skipped over it, everyone we look back at and call black revolutionaries did f*** s***. That does not nullify the work they did that progressed us forward. Not talking about the negatives he did would be delusional but lets not pretend that Pac created gangster rap.
It was popping and Pac fell in line. It only got worse when he got out of jail and he upped the street s*** but that was also death row pushing him in that direction. He was trying to separate himself from them when he died so it's not a far cry to say that Pac didn't want to keep making that type of music
We could easily go song for song with Pac and his music where he's talking about violence or some real s*** but it would be just wrong to say that with age that Pac wouldn't have matured into someone who was pushing behind the black agenda minus the violent music. Literally so many signs before his death pointed to this. Not saying he would've donned a suit and started a million man march but that's not the only way to be a activist. something like that aint foreign to him look at who his mother was
and what?? He literally did go to court behind his music and cited freedom of speech during it?
that literally happened idk why are you saying it didn't
if you're gonna try and not talk about what Pac would've done and become lets not try and take away from what he really did bro. It deadass sounds like you don't fw Pac but hey you said you got a mural right
also based off what you just said your whole thing of trying to just label him as a street rapper who died is invalidated when you can't even remember when he died
I'm in here with people who lived in the 90s and it was far from what you're trying to paint it bro. it wasn't just a rapper dying Pac was a massive deal.
This is not something that developed over time people thought the same things im saying to you now then when he died
A revolutionary musician, sure. When I see the word revolutionary and Activist, I don't think of rappers who ganging and outwardly display disdain for their own kind in the manner that Pac did. You could argue his true impact wasn't the most positive.

how are you fr blaming Biggie's death on Pac? He was dead
you sayin that like he ordered the hit

Wait, you serious?
Like you think 2Pac was pressing baby lane in Vegas and wasn't him gang banging for real?
If so then so be it. You got it. Suge Knight was literally a known blood by the damn police. Had bloods working for him, I mean...
if that's not gang banging s*** Idk what is.

I am not.
Biggie was literally killed in response to Pac getting killed 6 months prior.
They were 100% related and connected to each other. The end.

He clearly jumped Orlando because he snatched that DR chain cus Puffy put hits out for them. He most def jumped him b/c of the bad boy alliance he had, than him being a Crip from Compton.

Proof?

This is crazy talk.
The individual who got his chain snatched, was a blood. He got it snatched by crips in the Lakewood Mall.
2Pac, in Vegas with a bunch of bloods, saw Baby Lane, the CRIP, and pressed him.
The hoola hoops to make this not a blood / crip thing is crazy to me. He was banging the mob man.
Proof?
Suge Knight had a 15K bounty on BIG and Puff after Pac died come on man, what are we doing lol I'm out you win
