yeah 100% VN, there are a few dialogue choices but very few and don't really impact the story

will prob get around to reading this somewhat soon. been reading umineko and that is a lot of reading, so i might take a break after finishing that up been an insanely great read though. dunno how many hours in i am, but it's at least two or three times the length of fata morgana. think i'm maybe like 40% of the way through atm.

have been enjoying the hell out of it. both the story and music are stupid good (good deal of classical music). loving the mystery aspect of it more than anything. makes you think quite a bit.

would definitely recommend using the 07th mod to get the ps3 sprites because the base sprites look awful imo. though they do sorta have some charm to them for some reason lol

both arcs are on sale on gog rn. not too sure how much longer they'll be on sale for, but would recommend scooping em up sooner rather than later. i bought them both almost two weeks ago now, so the sales gotta be over soon.

it is a lot of reading, so i'd make sure you got some time to set aside. though since there's multiple episodes, you can kinda split it up that way, but regardless, still a ton of reading lol. i've got a decent bit of downtime in between releases, so reading this has been a great way to fill that time up.

i can absolutely see the case for it being better than fata morgana, 100%. i think fata morgana will still be my favorite, just because of the fact that the emotional payoff you get in that story is just so f***ing absurd it could be similar for this since i still have like another episode to read, so i still can't say for sure just yet.

i guess i'd say it depends on what you prefer. umineko is more so the mystery and fata morgana plays with your emotions. i don't think i'd say one is definitely "better" than the other or anything.

bro, like i said, i don't think i've ever thought so hard about a story. the author wants you to try and figure out mysteries before the answers are stated. "everything" (?) can be solved with the info presented in the first four episodes, but it took me longer than that

nope, didn't read that. from what i gather, there's some characters from higurashi in umineko, but it's nothing significant.
