I also think Wayne was pretty deep into his career and potentially past his peak (if u consider carter 2 and 3 and some of the mixtapes roughly that period peak wayne) when a lot of the label issues blew up and became more of an issue that people knew more about

Even in 2010-2011 he was clearly one of the biggest stars and his trajectory had nowhere to go but up, meanwhile Wayne's career was cooling down plus his longer history w Birdman and Cash Money was prob holding him back in a few more ways
