Mal's issue w/ Joe was that he UNILATERALLY told Rory not to record. Mal believes if Joe does that, then he views them as workers, while Joe's the boss, not like a team. Which is why he got hurt when Joe told him it wasn't his business and that's why he took the "replacement" so hard.

Seems like Rory was cool w/ taking a little break regardless. I don't think Joe did anything wrong besides not calling a meeting before texting Rory. And after that he had to stand on it, even though it was wrong.

But Joe sensing the decline in quality was spot on. And I don't think he was wrong to keep the podcast going. But in doing that he hit something sensitive for Mal.

Mal is a real one goddamn. I didn't really expect him to be that good of a dude.

After how long Mal & Joe lived together, but also especially how Mal's personality and chemistry on its own took the pod to a whole new level... Joe is so out of line. It felt uncomfortable to listen to because it's so clearly unresolved and Joe is still being such a prick. This definitely won't be the thing to get Mal actively talking again lol
