Joe finessed ak. Understandably so but damn. Joe think he the Savior of the new interviewers/journalist of course he got greedy ane tried bto finesse naive ak.
Its funny caus it all comes full circle. Ak always acting like these yoing rappers supposed to know the deals tge sign and what to expect bwhen they get in the industry. But Ak clueless as well. And Joe aleays talking about the labels/distributors and whoever came before always taking advantage of the little guy just for him to do it himself.

It's not a finesse when the dude you're working with is just happy to be on Complex...

Ak wasn't looking for any sort of stake and that was clear.

    Yeah Joe didn't finesse Ak.

I believe he wanted Ak to leave with him (Nadeska is a Complex employee) but Ak chose to stay. I could be wrong though.

The thing about the Jay elec album is that I can’t see myself just playing it or throwing it on. It has no replay value for me. But it is not bad either.

It was just good moment for him.

But he did get outshined and it is not amazing music.

I still don’t know why people take their music opinions too serious. For example, they praise Ross like he’s the God M.C. , but JayElecs verses are subpar. With rhetoric like that you have to laugh.

APIDTA, Ezekiel’s Wheel, Fruit of the Spirit, Neverending Story are great Jay Elec verses. Are they better than Exhibit C, How Great, or My World? No. But still great imo.

Also I think he does have a solo project ready to be released.

As a rapper we gotta understand how Joe Budden's gonna put emphasis on that. Even NOW yall niggas are moving the goalposts for this nigga my g.

The Black Album isn’t better than Reasonable Doubt, does that make it a bad album?

I agree with this. Ross artistically is kinda in the same breath as Pusha T. Their projects are at worst solid but they tread the same ground.

I think what sets Push apart is he experiments with sounds, beat choices, etc. enough to make it interesting.

You can definitely argue Black Album being better musically at least imo.

It's one of the easiest Hov albums to get through without skips.

I agree. The Internet created this thing about Jay Elec being a GOAT waiting to happen almost.

To me it's a cheat code to have Hov all over the album, and it doesnt help the only talk about the greatness of the album was all about Hov for the most part.

Drake, Kendrick, Cole, and others in the 2010s ain't have that much help comparatively.

Bruh you just made my point, AWT verses aren’t better than a lot of his previous stuff. But it’s still great: some emotion, introspection, layers, knowledge, references, etc ...in those verses .

    No I didn't my g.

Musically black album is better. Musically nothing on this was better than Exhibit A or C yo.
