oh s*** in
life in the big city
Don’t think we will ever get a Kanye interview.
Rogan said at one of his live shows Kanye lowkey cancelled on him because his publicist told him it would be a bad idea to be in such a long-form uncensored discussion space like that (maybe not word for word but in the same vein), so not to ever really expect it

I heard him say that. Those long pauses and abstract ideas won’t really sit well on podcasts. I would like a critical thinker to have an open and honest conversation with Kanye tho.
Like ask him about critical questions about religion and these other ideas Kanye’s been pushing lately

since Kanye's apparently met Eric Weinstein before i'd be really interested in seeing Eric talk with him solely because of how abstract and in depth Eric can get with concepts vs Rogan (even if Eric is a bit verbose sometimes)

How is a podcast any different from some of these interviews though
(You don’t have to answer I just really want kanye on JRE 😡)

if i had to guess, i think the publicist is scared that they can't strong-arm Rogan into hard editing JRE. Every time Kanye does an interview, it has jump cuts, editing, etc. to frame his discussions and to clip it down to various segments, if not, it's at least co-ordinated first beforehand so they know what's being asked (i.e. Radio) and it's shortform (this is just film/music industry standard usually). On JRE, it's a super long form, uncensored discussion with no editing and i would assume the publicist is scared of Kanye saying something extra controversial
