Jeffrae heeds the call and splashes out of Fougeres body, stetching it's fluid form around him. Fougere jumps into the stream of wind and exits the ship. He flies towards the rest of the squad. (The others who jump later wont be able to profit from Feather Fall since you're gone, so they'll have to make a Dexterity Saving Throw (d20) once they jump out).

    Initiative Chart

    Octopus: 18
    Odeon: 15
    Fougere: 15
    Barry: 10
    Tariq: 9
    Coochiemane: 7
    D12: 3
    Ignance: 1

    It's now Barrys Turn
Elori can also do his turn, since Tariq will be trying to jump as well this round and D12/Coochiemane will be trying to swim towards the riverbank (Don't forget to roll the Dexterity Saving Throw for falling over everyone)

    Dexterity Saving Throw d20: 9

(Assuming the dex roll failed) Barry tries to get up and jump out of the ship.

You slide into the windstream and get ejected out of the ship (if you dont decide to do anything else).

Elori slips and is about to be dragged through the hole by the water flowing down to the survivor deck.

If you want to try grabbing the edge make a Strength Saving Throw (D20).
Also make a Concentration Saving Throw (d20) to see if you're able to maintain Gust Of Wind

Elori manages to grab the ledge in the last second just before falling through the hole. Thanks to the abilities that he received from the meditation his wrist strength is amplified, he easily pulls himself up again with one hand, while still being able to concentrate on keeping the canal of wind intact. He ends up again at the spot he fell down.

Do you move? (You still have 30 feet of movement left, afterwards it's the octopus turn)

Elori scrambles over the ledge and puts some distance between him and the rift, heading towards Odeon

Elori gets next to Odeon after almost getting swallowed by the waves, he barely outruns them as the amount of water keeps increasing, the hole leading to the lower deck is barely able to drain it all at once.

    Initiative Chart

    Octopus: 18
    Odeon: 15
    Fougere: 15
    Barry: 10
    Tariq: 9
    Coochiemane: 7
    D12: 3
    Ignance: 1

    Turn 9 Octopus

The Octopus keeps thrashing around with his tentacles inside the ship, The crack in the center hall widens because of the tentacle in there, it will only be seconds now before the whole floor starts to collapse.
The water streaming in almost reaches the party, luckily the canal of wind manages to divert it a bit, but it probably wont hold for long anymore. To the east the party also hears that the rest of the tentacles keep on advancing towards their position, destroying every room in their way.

Everyone that's still on the ship makes a Dexterity Saving Throw (d20)** (Odeon and Elori)

Barry and Fougere make a Dexterity Saving Throw (d20) to see if they land in the water safely (Since they doen't profit from featherfall)

    also

Barry and Fougere make an Athletics (Strength) Check to swim against the current caused by the ravaging Octopus (If they try swimming towards the riverbank that is.)
Fougere makes the Check with Advantage because of Jeffraes aid

It's now Odeon and Fougeres Turn

Odeon slips and slides towards the Gust of Wind, which immediatly starts to push him out of the ship.

Make a Strength Saving Throw (d20) if you want to avoid being thrown out forcefully (You can also fail on purpose)

    @LuJo

Fougere easily manages to swim against the current towards the river bank, Jeffrae tries to to navigate the best he can.

    @barrymc

Barry safely lands in the water, the life jacket helps him greatly. He commences swimming towards the riverbank, being able to withstand the huge waves. Only now that you're inside the water and the tentacles are beneath you in the water you realize the full size of this gigantic sea monster.

    Initiative Chart

    Octopus: 18
    Odeon: 15
    Fougere: 15
    Barry: 10
    Tariq: 9
    Coochiemane: 7
    D12: 3
    Ignance: 1

    Turn 9 Tariq

Tariq nods towards Elori after seeing his little accident "You alright? I'm leaving too then..." he jumps into the heavy winds with his life jacket on.

Dexterity Saving Throw (d20): 16 Succeeds

He makes the jump and commences to swim towards his comrades.

Athletics (Strength) Check (d20) Tariq: 11 Succeeds

He manages to get away from the suction

    Turn 9 Coochiemane

The featherfall guarantees a soft landing for Coochiemane, he gently lands in the water and also begins swimming towards the riverbank.

Athletics (Strength) Check (d20) Tariq: 11 Succeeds

    Turn 9 D12

Carried by the spell Fougere casted, the four of them also float towards the water surface without much of a problem.
They make haste to get away from the Octopus.

Athletics (Strength) Check (d20) Porter: 19 Succeeds
Athletics (Strength) Check (d20) Biz: 15 Succeeds
Athletics (Strength) Check (d20) Kuniva: 12 Succeeds
    Athletics (Strength) Check (d20) Eye-Kyu: 15 Succeeds

The life jackets seem to aid them greatly, they've no problems getting some distance between them and the ship.
Everyone who's inside the river begins drifting towards the east

    It's Elori Turn now
Odeon's Turn will still need to be resolved tho, but Ignance can already write
(I'll fly to Mexico City this evening, dunno when I'll be able to answer again)

Make a Dexterity Saving Throw (d20) with disadvantage (Because you exit prone)
    also
Make an Athletics (Strength) Check (d20) to swim against the current pulling you towards the octopus if you'd like to do so (Also with disadvantage because you don't have any life jacket)

Odeon gets blasted out of the ship by Eloris Gust of Wind spell, who's now the only one left in there.
Odeon falls a good 20 feet towards the water and hits it really uncomofortable with his straightened back facing the surface.

Odeon takes 2d6 Bludgeoning Damage from the fall.
    Damage Roll (2d6): 5+2 = 7

    Odeon takes 7 Bludgeoning Damage.
    Odeon Stats: Health Points: 20/45

He loses the orientation as his breath gets taken away because his lungs get flattened for a moment by the impact and because he hasn't any life jacket equipped gets washed away easily by the strong currents. He gets dragged beneath the surface and is drawn towards the octopus.

Not since you've failed the Dex Saving Throw. But yes technically you still havr an action because the athletics check is part of the swimming movement.

Elori jumps into his spell all too hastily, seeing his surroundings collapse. He does some accidentl somersaults in the air before crashing headon onto the water surface, it feels like getting hit by a brick.

Elori takes 2d6 Bludgeoning Damage from the fall.

Make an Athletics (Strength) Check (d20) to swim away from the Octopus' ripping currents and the undertow caused by the ship. (If you'd like to do so)

That's a 11 with the +5 Strength from the Buff right?

Elori gets pulled beneath the water by the undertow as a whirlpool forms around the area he's landed, the lifejacket isn't of much use in this situation. He can see Odeon not very far off underwater, also trying to fight against the forces pulling him underwater, a moment later he feels his nature powers kicking in allowing him to get back to the surface again to breath some air.

Do you want to do something else on your turn, else you could swim to the shore since you managed to suceed the check?
