Turn 10 Octopus

The tentacles wrapped around the ship put pressure on the hull, crushing it easily as if it was some sort of soft drink can. It rips apart in the center, the survivor deck that you were just in submerges almost completely in a matter of seconds, only the backside of the ship is still fully visible.
Odeon who's still near the ship makes a Strength Saving Throw (d20) with disadvantage (because he has no vest) or he'll be pulled farther under water by the suction effect in the water around the sinking vessel
also Odeon makes an Athletics (Strength) Check (d20) with disadvantage if he decides to swim towards the Riverbank

Odeon gets pulled another 20 feet towards the riverbed (he's now 40 feet below the surface).

He doesn't manage to swim back to the surface, the current keeps on pulling him towards the Octopus.

Barry looks back towards the ship, remembering the spiders and his dream about Peter Parker. He makes a series of hand gestures towards the ship.

Webs shoot out of Barry’s wrist when he makes the correct gesture (🤘🏽); he hopes to plaster the octopus to the ship so it can’t chase the group.

Batty continues swimming towards the shore.

A web shoots out of Barry**s wrist as he turns around while swimming. It flies over the river and hits one of the tentacles with such a force that it sticks to the sinking hull of the ship.
The Octopus** head can be seen swaying around from side to side, it gives off a loud roar once again.

Tariq keeps on swimming as fast as he can.
He's close behind Coochiemane and D12.

Coochiemane reaches the shallow waters, he stands knee deep in the water now and looks back at the rest of the group, expecting them to catch up.

Porter, Biz, Kuniva and Eye-Kyu keep on going and soon get to Coochiemanes position. They're able to wade through the water now standing on a concrete part of the riverbed.

Turn 11 Octopus

The Octopus smashes the ship apart, huge waves are created around the ship. The tentacles thrash around wildly.

Odeon makes a Dexterity Saving Throw with Advantage thanks to Barrys interference to dodge the incoming tentacles near him (d20)

He's 40 feet below the surface and needs to throw a Athletic (Strength) Throw (d20) with disadvantage to swim towards the shore and surface (if he wants to do so) 30 feet. He's still able to keep his breath for a moment, but the air is starting to run out.

Instead of swimming can I maybe launch a fireball to the ship or bottom to boost myself up?

The tentacles rage around the ship, the one that's stuck to the hull is unable to move, Odeon manages to evade them once again.

You can try an Acrobatics (Dex) Check to realize your idea if you succeed you'll still be 10 feet around the water surface.

Odeon launches a firebolt underwater, it immediatly gets extinguished, all one can see is heated bubbles of air from the reaction shooting out of his palm. They create enough force to carry him 30 feet towards the surface, he's still below though and near the ship, his breath is starting to run out soon also.
