The roaring of the octopus snaps me back to reality.

I see Barry running and swim towards him as fast as I can investing all the strength I have left.

I’m DMing 3 groups in one universe lol you really got me into this s*** ethic and besides me another 10 people

“I’ve got a lifejacket for you here, just keep swimming!”

The tension is killing me.

Barry easily sidesteps the tentacle coming at him while running towards his comrade in need of help. The tentacle trying to grab Odeon seems to have it's aim off thanks to the interference of Elori and the Octopus being blinded by the poison in its eyes.

Odeon swims in the crawl style as fast as he can to get away from the violent currents and manages to get some feet in front of Barry, they're almost only an arms-length distance from each other away. The Octopus rears, another pair of tentacles are lifted high in the sky, ready to come crushing down at them.

Unfortunately every group in the adventure gathering-universe is so scattered on the world map, I would wish that they meet, but I dont see it happening anytime soon lmao.

Since I'm nearly out, im just wondering but did I use all my guiding bolts back at the ship? If I did I just keep swimming till I'm on the shore

I made like my own fantasy universe and threw in a group of 5 in there. Then I let my best friend play as well but alone. Im playing with another friend group as well and they agreed to be put in my world after we finish the campaign book we’re playing (lost mines of phandelver). The main group saw my friend fight in an arena so far and one of the members of the group talked to him in the bar, he’s now going north tho while the group is going south so they’ll likely be far from eachother in the future

I cant access the pms on the old forum on my phone and I dont have my laptop with me rn, so I cant see the skill description. But I believe you have more than 1 use of guiding bolt. Your cooldowns where restored after sleeping and you only used it once. Could you go check real quick how many uses you have available? Just so we're sure.

Well you were the original group on ktt, but there are some that started at around the same time. Since I planned beforehand that there would be several group. But you were the first ones.
I think in total there were 11 groups, most of them have already died by f***ing around or they lost interest.
Theres about 5 active groups now including you, 3 are moving super slow and another one at the same pace like you with daily updates.

Funny you ask that, I guess I'll tell you. Everyone started in a similar cave, though the foes and the enemies circumstances of being in the region varied from party to party.
(I mean you f.e. never found out why exactly the Wocka Family was hauled up in there)

Barry straps the lifejacket on to Odeon and then equips the arrow-catching shield. Seeing the octopus rear its tentacles, Barry outstretches his arm and fires more webbing from his wrist, hoping to bind the tentacles to the body.

But why is there a cost for equipping a shield when changing weapons in the middle of combat is fine?

That's the rules according to Page 146 of the Players Handbook.
Shields count as armor, it takes one action to stow or equip a shield.
Weapons can be dropped for free.

Barry shoots another web in the direction of the Octopus, one of the tentacles that's several 10 feet above its head gets plastered to the Point-No-Point bridges pillar.
(This was your last Cooldown of the spell if I'm not wrong)

Dexterity Saving Throws against the Octopus' tentacles are with advantage as long as it doesnt manage to free itself next round

They all keep staring anxiously at the rescue action.

Elori turns around midway, he's almost back at the shallow waters again.

Turn 15 Octopus

The Octopus roars once again, trying to free itself from it's renewed shackles. It sways it's head around, the poisonous liquid that Barry shot at it gets flung away sizzling.

Barry Spell DC: 8+3 = 11
Octopus Strength Check (d20): 19+3 = 22

It seems as if the gigantic sea monster starts getting into a frenzy, it easily rips apart the new web, the bridge is able to withstand the forces. Immediatly the tentacles which were high up start coming down onto Barry and Odeon at the same time the Octopus is beginning to move towards their location and it's starting to pick up pace real quick.

Odeon and Barry make a (normal) Dexterity Saving Throw (d20)
