I could save Odeon if my aquatic form wasn't on cooldown.

OMFG I HAVE TAYLOR SWIFT'S RING

"I can't see Odeon anywhere, he might be drowning. I'm going back for him, somebody give me a lifejacket!"

Barry waits for someone to hand him a lifejacket. He then slides Taylor Swift's ring on this finger and runs across the river as far as he can towards the ship.

Elori’s eyes widen and a wave of nauseating fear hits him and he yells up towards D12 and company, “Your suspicion is well placed Barry, his energy is fading! I’ll go with you.” I turn around and wade my way back into the deep water in search for Odeon also.

Turn 12 D12, Coochiemane and Tariq

Tariq worried "I havent seen him since jumping off! Quick!!"
Kuniva strips off his Life Jacket and hands it to Barry as fast as he can.

Barry begins to dash over the water surface, the ring on his finger shining in a bright light, he passed by Elori whos still in the water. It will take Barry another 2 turns to get to the ship. Elori turns around, getting ready to swim back, but he's clearly slower not being able to move ontop, it will take him 3 turns to return.

Turn 13 Octopus

The Octopus tries to free himself from **Barry**s web again.

The sticky net bursts apart as the Octopus lifts his tentacle high up towards the sky, the tentacles that have been wrapped around the destroyed ship slowly let go of it and start to comb through the water. The tiled ships backside is already swallowed completely by the river, the frontside facing west is about to disappear also, now that none of the tentacles are holding onto it anymore.

Odeon makes a Dexterity Saving Throw (d20) to dodge them with Disadvantage because he has barely any breath left

I start hallucinating from the lack of oxygen and I see Olly floating above me, telling me that death isn’t as scary as it seems. I realise it’s a hallucination and I fire another Fire bolt down in my final attempt to boost me up.

Odeon barely able to see anything anymore, perceives several large shadowy silhouettes coming at him, he hears the dampened sound of rhe backside of the cargo ship impacting the riverbed hundred meters below echoing in his eardrums. Moments later his whole body gets whipped by one of the tentacles coming at him, the impact pushes the last bit of air out of his stomach, he begins to hallucinate.

Bludgenoning Damage (2d6): 5+4 = 9

You fall K.O. after this turn if you dont reach the surface, so you can still do that.

Pretty sure like my last 10 or so rolls were below a 10 , my dex bonus really kept me alive so far

Odeon shoots out another stream of hot bubbles from his palm and manages to boost himself up to the surface just barely. Barry, Elori, Fougere and the rest of the group notice the splash. They see how Odeon surfaces, but he seems to be struggling to stay afloat with barely any strength left. The Octopus is still looming behind him.

Odeon makes a Constitution (Con) Check (d20) at the start of his next round to regain his breath, until it succeeds all his ability checks and saving throws are with disadvantage

Odeon manages to take a deep breath to refill his lungs.
If you want you can elaborate on that.

I manage to take a breath despite barely being conscious. As I do this I start puking up water and slowly see Olly disappearing again. I'm just drifting between the waves and in the moment I'm not sure if I'm alive or dead

I'm in shallow waters atm right? If so I keep going

Fougere is almost out of the river.

Barry continues running across the river towards Odeon. While running, Barry aims his finger at the octopus's giant eyes and fires a Cobra Shot (Hit d20: 11 / Damage 4d4: 14).

The blob of acid fires from Barry**s hand hits the Octopus** eyes. Although rather small, the attack seems to have some effect on the giant creature. It shreeks, growls and throws around it's tentacles in the air wildly, as if it was uncontrollably drunk on a saturday night dancefloor.

All Savingthrows against the Octopus Tentacles the next Turn are with Advantage

Barry closed in on Odeons position, it will take him another full turn of dashing to get there or 2 turns if he doesnt use his action to move faster.

They all reach dry ground and turn around to watch the spectacle of Barrys counterattack unfold just in time. Biz still wheezing from the lonh swim, cheers on him "Wohooo! Get him out of there!!"
Porter in a serious voice "Odeons still dangerously near that thing."
Tariq worried "Can they really make it? Just Elori and Barry? Can they get him out of there? Now that I see this things full size... it's... gigantic... I cant do s*** against that"
Kuniva tries to reassure the group "Believe in them... we've been through worse already... those three... so far they've always succeeded..."
Tariq replies "I hope you're right..." he turns towards Fougere "Is there anything you can do to aid them? Or you Coochie?"
Coochiemane who's been silent so far spits some leftover riverwater on the ground "Forget it, I'm not heading in there again..."
Tariq getting angry at him again "You...."
Coochiemane interrupts him with an annoyed look "...but if they manage to get over here where we're on steady ground I could do something... wanted to try this out anyway..." the green-aura begins to surge around him again "that fine for you wuzz?
Tariq only half content with the answer makes a soundeffect with his moth "Tchk--.."

Elori pauses his frantic swimming as he sees Barry reach Odeon in addition to his successful attack on the Octopus, “I’ll have to buy him some more time,” he thinks to himself, he swims as close as he can within this turn, brings his arms up in a high arc above his head and clasps them, using A Call Beyond directed at the Octopus.

A glistening white circle appears above the Octopus head as Elori claps his hands. 5 glistening star like orbs come crashing down on the grotesque creature, who is still swaying from side to side from being blinded. 4 of the bright shining orb impact it's head directly and dispers in an explosive manner, the last one fails to hit it's target and sinks towards the bottom of the river, illuminating the water for a moment. Another growling scream of pain can be heard from the Octopus maw. His body lights up in a white glow from time to time, blinking.

Turn 14 Octopus

The Octopus fully rotates towards Odeons and Barrys position. It's starting to move it's tentacles towards the both, since they're in reach, the come rushing at them with high speed.

Odeon and Barry make a Dexterity Saving Throw (d20) at the start of their turn, with advantage because the creature is blinded (And because Odeon was able to regain his breath)
