I take off my silver ring and dry it with my clothes. I put it back on. I look for something flameable like branches outside. I put it all together and make a bit of a campfire inside the house using my fire bolt. I start warming myself infront of it.

"What food do we have? I can heat it up for yall."

While your looking for flammable stuff you hear engine sounds coming from the west, they are faint at the moment so they must be far away, but it seems they are drawing nearer.
You gather just enough little twigs and dried out leave to construct a little fire. It lasts just long enough to cook the meal, but extinguishes soon after.
Everyone starts digging in.

Biz rejoices "Thanks for the effort Barry and Odeon, a somewhat fresh warm meal always helps me to get back on track."

Eye-Kyu towards Odeon "You should really be taking it easy though..."

5x cans of dried corn and 5x cans of dried beans removed from Barry Inventory

The party seems strengthened, ready to get on with the mission.

"Outside... I heard some engine sounds far away coming from the west. Sounded like they're coming nearer. Should we be worried about that?"

"It might be Government related, so we should be atleast cautious of it"

Kuniva nods "You could be right, they might be looking for us."

Biz agrees "And our morning workout with the octopus wasn't really a quiet one either..."

Porter clears his throat "Could be...I have the feeling there's a lot of stuff going on here... either way... Odeon is right, we need to move."

Coochiemane is in a corner, silently eating his food, listening to your conversation.

Eye-Kyu asks the group "So... which path do we take?"

"Bridge A sounds good to me. We're going to be exposed either way, might as well be high above ground."

Porter nods "You're right... and we wouldn't need to worry about finding a way to cross the second river..."

Eye-Kyu agrees "But... if what Odeon heard really were engine sounds it could be a bit troublesome to move towards the west to ascend the highway..."

Kuniva begins packing his belongings "What's the distance to the entrance of the highway bridge?"

Porter ponders "Maybe... half a mile... more or less"

Eye-Kyu ties his shoelaces "Well if we'd run now we could make it in 10 to 15 minutes... maybe we'll be able to avoid the noise Odeon heard altogether"

Kuniva to Biz "Ya ready for another training session dawg?"

Biz gives him a tired "haha... very funny"

Porter closes the map and folds it up again "Well then... let's head out right?"
