story aside I love the flashbacks and they put the biggest smile on my face, especially when they visit the museum. :allears:

The whole sequence and structure is what's f***ing me up, I'm moving left and right in set pieces that I think I'm in Memento, starring Christopher Nolan.

Perhaps a restructure might have better paced and give us a good idea why the events had to have happened like they did. But i still need to beat the game

these flashbacks got me like

imma be honest, Joel dying early looking like a better and better choice with the flashbacks cause they really hitting me in the feels and are some of my favorite parts of the game

I never played the first one but want to pick this up since it's fresh. I really don't have much desire to play the first since it's kinda old and I know most of the story beats (just from reading about it), you guys think I'd be able to jump in with this one and still appreciate it?

People are divided on the gameplay, j personally thought it was great, but the sequel outdoes it by quite a margin. You can cop it for super cheap these days, less than $10 so it’s still worth giving a shot

the only reason I can think of them justifying killing joel so early on is to represent her loss of innocence since joel was the only thing left that symbolized her childhood and happiness, that's at least what I get from it w the use of flashbacks.
