At Chapter 21. Been going slower cause I’m getting the platinum so I been getting every collectible. Basically halfway thru tho and nothing has been a complaint so far. And gameplay especially is smoother than ever. Been reading tho that the final act is where it all goes downhill, so hoping it doesn’t personally disappoint ME that bad.

lol f*** fan service. I am not saying a story can not have fan service, but to get mad at someone writing a story that makes sense for the characters and completes their arcs that are defined from the first game should always be encouraged. They went with the high road. It just pissed off fans.

It moreso has to do with the fact that video game fans don't know the first thing about actual good storytelling, considering most game's stories are extremely drawn out and generic as f*** (like Red Dead Redemption or Far Cry or even Metal Gear Solid beyond the heavy convolution of how the games are connected). Their basis of good storytelling is based on capeshit that they are watching, so ofc they think fan service is needed.

The dumb thing about comparing this to TLJ and GOT S8 is that there are some blatantly stupid things in those from a logical standpoint that violates how those characters would actually behave in service of some SJW agenda or to have some thing play out. That is blatantly bad writing.

With TLOU2, I have yet to see a single case for a logical fallacy that this game has. Everything that happens is carefully plotted out and makes sense when you see it. People just seem pissed that it actually happens.

Love or hate Harmony Korine, but I remember reading an account from some bitter film critic who said he used to be in film school with him and described Korine as a loner who always came up with the most insane ideas that everyone laughed at.

I like TLJ overall, definitely not in my top 3-4 SW movies but its the only Disney era SW movie I feel has any merit. But the flaws are glaringly obvious.

And to be fair, I do think GOT S8 gets an unfair bit of hate. It is definitely the worst GOT season but I think people over do it on the hate. I think the direction taken makes sense for the most part, it is just really half assed and rushed.
