its a videogame, the story is part of it yes but the gameplay is also just as important if not more important.

I’ll get the game if Factions is on it upon release. If there’s no factions I’ll wait it out for a few weeks for a general consensus.

The praise for the last of us was 90% based on story

The gameplay was poor overall to mediocre at best depending on your tolerance for some of its systems

I agree that gameplay is the most important aspects of games

That is not true at all lmaoo

The gameplay for TLOU is the primary reason it was praised so much. People loved the stealth combat, which also explains why the multiplayer did well for as long as it did.

And above all, the narrative on its own would’ve just been called derivative of a 28 days later / The Road but thanks to the gameplay, it really heightened the execution of that narrative thanks to the immersion.

yeah they're more leaks. only seen a couple more but nothing towards the end. tbh I jumped to conclusions too soon.
Plus what I lost sight of and I think a lot of ppl have is TLOU has always been Ellie's story. Just cause you play as Joel doesn't mean he is the catalyst that pushes the narrative forward.

Money is everything, I agree. The game will make money, but its brand is tarnished.

Exactly, why is why the OP shouldn’t be encouraging people to spread it as “humanly possible”

Honestly something of this magnitude had to happen in order to change the crunch culture there.

Radical things must happen to bring forth change sometimes
