The first play through is top 1 but the very close second is the second play through. Knowing the story beats, knowing the ending (and in this case, having it all with the context of the story and the things it chose to show you at the end that were earlier in the narrative)

Anything after the second play though becomes playing it out of wanting to experience it again or loving the gameplay.

The first play through is such an experience and your brain is seeing and being shown so much new stuff But u truly soak up the story even better and realise what you’re seeing on play through 2

The official last of us podcast actually gives really good insight on the making of the game. Puts A LOT of stuff from the story into perspective.
