something along the lines of ludonarrative dissonance, essentially what the story is telling you about your character is not in line with the actions you are performing with the character you control. it makes sense. i’m killing dogs all game and all of a sudden i’m supposed to feel sorry for this one cause i played fetch with it.

i disagree with jakey but it’s definitely an odd way to give a lesson about killing , partly due to the lack of chronological storytelling. all in all, i wouldn’t change a thing about this game tho.

The Abby gameplay felt really boring at times but damn it felt like i took forever to finish the story

Abby's gameplay had the best set pieces of the entire game

Ellie's gameplay was the most emotionally resonant though. Getting to live day to day with her in Seattle honestly created an experience Ima never forget in gaming.

Yea I was really surprised at Naughty Dog for that. Like Anby had way more epic set pieces I was like wtf. I mean Ellie had that one bigger open world sequence but other than that Abby campaign was better

Been wanting to replay this so it's the first game I'm gonna play on my PS5 on the 12th.

Assuming I can actually snag one online from Walmart and dont encounter that sold out in 2 seconds bs like with the pre-orders.

Yup that's why it's been hard for me to cut other developers slack sometimes. It's like look at what Naughty Dog is capable of. The rest of these games should be on par. TLOU 2 looks better than any ps5 game and probably will look better until about a year or so into the console cycle when the juggernauts start to launch.
