Half of ND are working on Factions whilst the other half is working on the remake. Neil and the writers are in pre-pro on the next game.

im sure sony is betting that a new entry will be very profitable as opposed to a new IP so which could be a risk for them. artistically speaking it seems like neil wants to go there as well

And it’s not even like they just killed they the character for no reason or cheaply out the blue. Joel had it coming bro killed innocent people in the first game like can gamers not grasp that concept?that character kinda represents the last of the great white male characters in modern pop culture. games inherently ask the player to put themselves into the playable characters shoes. i think there was a lot of white male rage lashed out onto the game, bc it had felt like they last great hero was robbed from them or something.
