I love Joel like most people, but I can't blame anyone for having hatred towards him
He definitely did some f***ed up s*** and got his karma
True, but if you were in his shoes, wouldn't you try to finally have the chance to save your "daughter" after failling the first time with your real daughter?

Disagree tbh, rewatch the scene where Joel delivers Ellie to the fireflies, they’re basically looking for a reason to kill him and he just saved humanity in the plot they wrote lol

I definitelyyyy see why Joel did what he did, and there are a lot of other people who'd do the same
But I wasnt the least bit surprised that it came back to haunt him. Mans single handedly ended any chances of saving humanity and beating the virus
Not to mention killed important surgeons and was the reason the Fireflies disbanded

Killing surgeons which are probably all the last of their kind, especially the brain surgeon . Ruining the last chance at a cure. And Abby lost the most important person in her life when she was just in her teens.
No one should be surprised at all that Joel's actions would come back to haunt him. I sympathize with him, but from other perspectives he isn't the hero in this

Joel was still the only chance at the cure
Humanity being saved doesn’t happen without Joel, if he hadn’t succeed at his job which was near impossible, humanity would’ve have gotten that chance and he almost lost his life while searching for the fireflies
Then when he delivers the girl the fireflies are written as bloodthirsty a******s who want to kill Joel, who just saved the world
Then the writers completely changed their mind and rewrote the whole thing in a different way by shoehorning in the surgeons daughter

Okk but getting Ellie to the hospital was the mission right ?
So yea Joel was the last hope, but that doesn't change the fact he then proceeded to ruin any chance of the cure actually happening after murdering the fireflies and surgeons
Was he humanity's last hope to deliver a cure? Yes
Was he also the sole reason the cure would now never happen? Also yes
remake incoming tho
Don't have a ps5 and don't plan on getting one for at least a year

One of the biggest lessons in the game is that there are no hero’s in that barbaric world, it’s all about perspective.

Yeah and Abby would be dead if Ellie hadn’t saved her, it’s all a cycle
Also no offense to writers but a cure barely helps in the apocalpyse they wrote, 99% of the time zombies are tearing you to shreds, it’s rare that someone is just bit and gets away. Not to mention that by the time they even got everyone vaccinated, the zombies will have gotten old and morphed into bigger zombies like the rat king did. How the f*** a vaccine gonna protect anyone from a swarm of rat kings
Game price got cut to $40 officially
Well worth it.

My brother played both part 1 and part 2 back to back and he got everything twisted.
He hated Joel with a passion after the first game and was happy when Abby killed him even tho he didnt know who she really is
He f***ed with abby so much and wanted her to kill Ellie for being a b\*\*\*\* and going around trying to seek revenge for Joels death
Bro didn't have to empathize with Abby or nothing, he justified everything from the beginning
that’s not twisted lmao that’s one of two ways to look at the story of the games

I'm tempted but I feel like they might do a res boost to 4k soon, I want my first playthrough to be the best version possible.

Well, when the characters act like total dumbasses in TLOU2, it kinda makes sense to root for the other person

I copped it for 15 like 2 months ago, great deal for a great game. Enjoyed Pt. 2 a lot, liked the story more in TLOU1 but gameplay is so good in TLOU2 man, combat often feels like a damn action movie
