The tendrils coming out of the mouth are disgusting
Gave me crazy resident evil vibes I loved it
I like Bella as Ellie, but in the scene where she asks what she’s supposed to do while Joel kills time I prefer how it came off in the game.
I feel like the fast pace of the show makes the little moments like this preferable in the game

I like the little things the game implied, that were expanded on and shown in the show
For example, the scene with Tess getting jumped by Robert and gang. We are introduced to Tess in the game by her saying she was jumped by them. They elaborated and added that into the show.
That’s where the show can deviate. The game is only told from Joel and Ellie’s POV. We can see the game from other perspectives as things play out
You’re white though bro, that explains this preference.
Nigga I’m as African and black as it gets

I’m black. I love succession.
He sounds crazy lol
Look how many likes that post got bro. I have started a dialogue.

I love how the expanded the relationship between Robert and Tess. You can tell he’s genuinely sorry they jumped her and is also scared s***less of getting Joel’d
Yo I forgot to go on r/tlou2 after the episode for laughs
Gotta do that now, gonna be a tradition after every episode
Edit: they actually liked it what in the world
For me, the first 10-20 minutes were really engaging. Then it slows down in the middle when Ellie is introduced. Doesn’t pick up again until the last 10 minutes or so. So overall thought it was a lukewarm premiere.
Recently binged TWD, and I know comparison is the thief of joy, but as far as premieres go, that first episode of TWD was something special.
its a marathon not a race at this point
TWD is legendary for its drop in quality after the first season

Makes sense as a game adaption
Gotta think from a game designers perspective. After that initial prologue, Is the “tutorial” with very loose plot and teaching the player the controls. Games tend to try not to introduce a lot of plot while the player is learning the controls. The episode ends here where the tutorial really ends, and tbf the Robert part is the least interesting thing of the whole game lol
I’m legitimately saddened we won’t get more of her. Seems like a Ned Stark situation where you’ll track big moments in the future against how she would’ve affected the character if she was involved
