I feel like there’s some good options out there, but amongst live action TV, I can’t think of one that’s really well regarded

For me, the first 10-20 minutes were really engaging. Then it slows down in the middle when Ellie is introduced. Doesn’t pick up again until the last 10 minutes or so. So overall thought it was a lukewarm premiere.

Recently binged TWD, and I know comparison is the thief of joy, but as far as premieres go, that first episode of TWD was something special.

TWD first few seasons are incredible. The beginning part of TLOU when you gotta get to Robert is my least favorite part so I’m sure it’ll pick up. Can’t wait to see episode 3.

Yeah it’s a comedown in the games too, although I think they have like a whole segment where you fight through mad dudes to f*** up Robert after the Sarah part in the game. I could be mis-remembering but I believe it’s literally right after

I think Pedro did a better job of bringing out the changed outbreak Joel feeling than in the game. At least in the beginning anyways.

I like Bella as Ellie, but in the scene where she asks what she’s supposed to do while Joel kills time I prefer how it came off in the game.

The premiere was a solid 8/10.

Wasn't too big on some of the changes that were made, but that's honestly just me being nitpicky.

They really captured the essence of the universe & that's what I was most worried about them falling short on. So we're good there.
