As I’ve asked previously is there any valid criticism of the season so far or is everything people say nitpicking ?

Ofcourse there’s valid criticism. But I also feel like people are nitpicking the s*** out of the last episode while the writers most likely have good reasons for it

If they were raided again chances are they would’ve lost at least one of them. Also the raid they did show had no significance to anything else so why would they show it if it wasn’t the only one

No I am asking you out of what we have seen so far is there anything you didn’t like ? I know people are nitpicking episode 3 again that’s cause critics rated it obscenely highly said immediately it deserves awards , best episode of television ever rather than say what they liked about it . They made quotables that dropped a month ago with the embargo . Also obviously for some of them it’s homophobia. It’s not a super out there love story .

I think Joel saying at dinner basically “ it’s a shame if y’all were to get raided with that fence “ then getting raided was a bit much on the foreshadowing but again you give it to them . Also letter was hamfisted but again give it to them . They made people cry that may never play the game so it’s a win . Even if they go with the game ending I doubt finale makes people cry and 100% know they not putting this level of effort into a Sam Henry episode so

Then why show it at all? Even if there were it’s just flat out unrealistic that Bill would’ve held that entire area for one year let alone ten.

You see walking mushroom people and you get taken out of the episode because there was one attack shown and 2 people defended the town? Cmon man

You’re really going out of your way to defend it here. Like I said it’s a good episode but very sloppy in some ways. Shows like this need good lore and good world building to be good

Just replying to complaints that seem very nitpicky. And it has that. That’s why the game got amazing reviews and the show so far as well.

Show is clearly only about realism at times so you give it leaps . Is it realistic even that he would trust a stranger shower naked likely with no guns on him and leave a stranger he just met alone “ realistic “ . Not necessarily . The gas wiping out all the raiders and never mentioning it for 10 years after he got injured was a lil silly cause even if they never attacked that s\*\*\* would make him more paranoid but I give it to them . Also know it’s a budget thing . Especially when they squeeze an infected in ar like the early Ellie part or show a caravan of people lol all them peeps got to get paid

I just think like, we have one episode to show the lives of bill and Frank and you kinda gotta pick your battles as a writer in terms of what goes on screen and what you expect the viewer to connect the dots on based on inferences they can make on their own. I don’t need to see every single defending of a raid to assume in a 20 year span tons of s*** went down.

Also, we did get a montage of bill getting people in his traps at the beginning of the episode

The first game got great reviews, which it deserved, but even then it had problems. Would like to see the show a) rectify those issues and b) add to the lore in ways that isn’t messy and fleshes out the world.

2nd as well. It’s the 2nd most awarded game of all time. Higher than the first.

Part of the world building has to be to give them some flexibility like that though in this case . There is no respawns. If raiders kept attacking or learned from burned raiders they would kill bill quick and franks ass never even learns how to operate a gun. Then if raiders got to his gun supply in anyway Joel getting wiped but code ensures that wouldn’t happen

In short there was some plot armor and convenience this episode but it’s okay

10/10 reviews in all mediums was a mistake
