VIRGILSINTHAGROUNDFrank was a really bad written character a f***ing wine mom suburban Karen in the middle of the apocalypse? Lame asf . Bill carried ep 3 , but I'd say from what we saw with abby and her partner it's a major letdown . Ellie has underperformed pretty severely throughout these 3 episodes, a completely one note character. The lack of action is just bizzare too by the time you meet bill I'm the game you've killed so much and that's what ultimately what I want to see Is action paired behind a gorgeous last of us backdrop, I don't want to see these characters just make emotive gestures and be passive aggressive to each other for 60 minutes

Yes. I think Last of Us 1 is cool . 2 I haven't beaten but respect it. Being a good game overall is about more than a beautiful story, cutscenes, gripping well written narrative. There are many games on that list that changed gaming forever mechanically. Not refined mechanics but created whole new ways to play. You could talk to anyone about tony hawk pro skater anyone and they will connect with it even if they never skate in their life or barely played video games. They found that fun. S*** Resident Evil 4 , Half Life 2. Many of the games high up on that list opened the door or inspired a last of us to exist mechanically so I respect them for that
Halo 2 guess what you did half way through the campaign ? Like in recent times yes Last of Us 2 and 1 high up there but overall history of gaming not just using recency bias or "wow it looks better than a 20 year old game" design has been good throughout entire history.

Nah you have a real critique. The show wants to be more human and down to Earth with the characters. People are going to want everything else to be realistic and grounded. It's why I can't get mad at people wanting the game version of Bill since his storyline made it interesting for Joel and Ellie to get a truck.

I know The Suitcase is touted as the best episode of Mad Men, but my personal favorite is The Other Woman. When I think of the greatest episode of TV in the last decade or so, it’s what comes to mind instantly. Funny thing is I’ve only ever watched that episode once.
