I know The Suitcase is touted as the best episode of Mad Men, but my personal favorite is The Other Woman. When I think of the greatest episode of TV in the last decade or so, it’s what comes to mind instantly. Funny thing is I’ve only ever watched that episode once.
Mad Men also had a great run. I just get annoyed when critics do the "THIS IS THE GREATEST PIECE OF MEDIA OF ALL TIME INSTANT CLASSIC" with anything because often it is overhyped then it affects me looking at it for what it is. San Junipero was a special moment though. Like the word of mouth feeling is better than critics telling people how to feel about anything through numbers or text. I haven't watched Mad Men since I marathoned one summer would have to rewatch it to say my favorite. I just think it always helps in a tv show section thread to know people's favorite shows, depictions of love, series , things that moved them to have an actual conversation

But along these lines one of the most hated episodes of Breaking Bad is The Fly . Critics panned it. Viewers called it filler. Directed by Rian Johsnon and I think it slapped

The Fly is basically BB's Pine Barrens. Maybe the initial pleb reception was bad but it went down as a classic.
Fly episode is a classic
It is but many rated it low. Point was f*** critics and watch a show for yourself. Also "filler " can be fire

Wonder how Last of Us tv show will age like will people rewatch it in a year or one time watch. Like the attach rate in future years. Wish Hbo luck overall. Hope they got more bangers

People's idea of filler in games and tv shows (outside of anime) is often key to pacing, caring about the world and getting to truly know the characters. I do get people calling this episode pacing just in the sense that the last of us show so far is consistently "this is a dark world with some beauty" so seeing it this way is like "damn we get it" after what we have seen so far. The cold open of the lady saying bomb the city but I want to spend time with family is similar to Frank like feels.
I think people are just stir crazy to see Joel and Ellie have an actual connection and even though yes I know by this story point in the game they were only so close. This Ellie in the show is edgier and meaner overall even at this point.
But thinking this gonna be like an action spectacle has me confused because episodes are expensive. S*** best action Drama is like those early seasons of 24
and I don't even like what Jack Bauer does its terrible lol. Jack Bauer and Joel got some similarities
great episode
remedial posters wanting to watch call of duty zombies or something, get over it

That that I think about it, a show like Lost definitely had filler in it
“ I like most creature movies, especially if it keeps me guessing. Acting was pretty good, and I was looking forward to watching E3. Then, they HAD to go there. ( Let me interject before I continue that I have several friends who are gay. I love them, but I don't agree with it, nor do I want to watch tv/movies with it. Don't want my grandkids seeing it.). Same s***couple. And on top of it, the 2 had JUST met and ate dinner and "whola", they're "in love"... smh. Then they carry it over to the bedroom. Why is it these days, that Hollywood thinks they have to interject s***(any really) into a movie for it to be watched? Perhaps that's what we have become. :( Hollywood used to go by the Hays Production Code. No longer. The gay relationship takes over the majority of this 1 hour 20 min. Episode. Yep, they add in a romantic song to make it all more heartfelt. Can y'all please give us good movies that don't force agendas down out throats!!??? Done with this one now.”
kill yourself haha wtf (not to you to the person you copy pasted this from)

Lost had a lot of filler but them 10 out of 10s with the time skips or whatever even the anthology were slappers because they handled so many emotions and ideas. I think thats why 10 out of 10 for more focused ideas like apocalypse zombies is like "damn ". Some shows get a lot for their twist or plot points and others for feelings others for refining something we have seen many times before some for taking risk we have never seen. Episode 3 feels refined loves story we have seen before.
I am going to go the rest of this season without arguing with a single poster itt

Is this an exact remake of the game?
How many seasons does it look like it’ll end up being?
