The Abbys dad stuff definitely felt like Neil was annoyed that everyone was cool with Joels decision and decided to make their past a little more sympathetic

Doesnt change that they straight up KO'd Joel and threatened to kill him if he interferred in them ripping an unconscious child's brain out. The Fireflies were total scumbags.

I love TLOU2 but I never liked that plot point

Joel brutally murdering Jolene bothered me more but thats because in my mind I was like murdering doctors obviously terrible but another doctor that can make a vaccine must exist in the world. Jolene is a human being that lead to him meeting Ellie and Jolene at least to me wasn't like a villain. She was making a tough decision and cares about Ellie too. Him brutally killing jolene because she would come after him but not thinking anyone who is firefly or saw him brutally murder doctors or jolene or any records of Ellie name , Joel, cameras or anything was always like okay . I didn't remember them knocking out Joel though cause its been a while since I played the game. When I say game I mean game 1 because 2 kind of changed some things about 1's ending. Just interested to see if they make it grey which is how it felt in game 1 to me.

I am going to replay 1 Was Marlene shown as a villain in 1 and was creating the vaccine of selfish means or thought ellie dying was worth even the chance of a vaccine? I thought based on audio logs and everything else it presented it as a highly likely to succeed operation

It was morally gray choice but part of why I am saying I want to see more Marlene is because by and large gamers did not care about brutally murdering Marlene as much as a in game 1 unnamed doctor npc that later becomes Jerry . I feel that isn't so out there to think .

part 2 spoilers i know you havnt finished part 2 but theres a scene in part 2 showing how marlene does not want jerry to do the experiment on ellie at all. she is shown as a good guy wanting to save ellies life but its out of her hands. Jerry really thinks shes the one and they can make a vaccine with her
