I mean at this point for me at least (again I am not saying this to troll I am serious) Sarah and Joel in one episode chemistry was better than Joel and Ellie. Yes I get he has been traumatized ptsd for most of season so far but he feels slightly too grumpy and a****** as compared to game. Yes he was an a****** in game don't get me wrong but feel they were slightly closer. I think partially they would talk during some gameplay ish parts that were cut . Again show not bad by any means. It just has to grow closer in this next episode for me Cause otherwise 6 is tommy will take you moment 7 is left behind , 8 david so they split up and 9 finale or so. But they are saying there are Joel Ellie moments in coming episode

I know everyone worships Bella and s***, and she is a very good actress (especially this last episode). Just not feeling her as Ellie and her chemistry with Pedro is non existent. She's annoying.

Well duh I am taking that into account I am saying the goal by the end of the season should be we at least see glimpses of his humanity again. I am not expecting his connection with Ellie to seem equivalent. His stoicness and resting face is just not emotive to me. Sam and Henry only made it more apparent acting with faces and eyes .

Told y'all Henry and Sam were going to be this week's highlight. Joel and Ellie may have more screen time but there's more focus on adding depth to side characters and world building than Joel & Ellie...

Oh yeah and I agree I am glad Sam and Henry got shine. Only waste of time to me was Kathleen but I give it to them. Joel and Ellie are close to me but just not quite there. Just knowing whats left time wise Episode 6 really has to be that moment but I believe in them

I wouldn't say non existent Just they have done a great deal of set up for season 2 . Openly saying they have made her more violent or antagonistic to Joel partially to lead into what is coming in season 2\. Their connection so far FOR ME hasn't been crazy strong enough to justify her feeling like that about the lie because again as I list she lied to Joel about the infected in basement, didn't tell him about Sam getting bitten, didn't tell him she took a gun. Like yes she was lying for greater good and yes her knowing about Sam changing was sweet. I am just thinking of rest of season and next does it make sense that she goes on a rampage? Especially after she has seen Sam and Henry do whats necessary for love including sell someone out. Bill and Frank Suicide for love. They just going to have to sell that she goes from where she is right now to basically Kathleen. Showing Kathleen just didn't hit because Kathleen is such a preview of Abby.

This is just my personal opinion it has no affect on anyone else . If you are loving the show I am glad you are

TOO much setup, to the point where they bypassed Ellie's personality in the first game entirely. It's just a proto version of the way she is in part 2. The ending of episode 5 was literally a reverse of the way both characters react in the game to that situation.

I am not alone on this one . I felt bad about saying it or thinking it but

I think nico has more range and is a better actor however I think Bella can do Ellie’s mannerisms, jokes, and annoying ass kid acting way better

People kind of miss the part where I say the show is good. Episode 5 I feel better about than the pilot or most episodes. I have said its a good show in many many post. I just won't say "perfect, 10/10, deserves all the awards " 2 months into the year but its been solid for most part.

This is how I feel so far but I know they will address it more in episode 6 so I am letting them cook. I definitely get the feel of too much set up overall. I am fine with changes and additions 100% I just thought more of those changes and additions would serve this season and the end of this season to make a 10 year old game story hit harder and be the best it could be. Some do help and some take away from the meaning for me but again plenty of time to land
