Same, but for me.
I can't wait for season 2 bruh
Seeing the WLF and Seraphites in live action is going to be amazing
And they better cast someone buff af for Abby
You got a point there, but again I think people will also be like "you had me follow this guy for a whole season just to kill him one or two episodes into the second?"
Eh, Game of Thrones S1 is very similar in that regard. It's HBO... i think people will be used to something like that happening.

I think it was execution partially though . I am not a joeler . Seems they feel how he died was out of character . I was fine with Omar dying to a kid

Let her act stop focusing on her forehead
Bella Ramsay (ellie) address the hate she has been recieving for the casting of ellie to hollywood reporter
"Yet when she arrived at the show’s set in Alberta, Ramsey initially had a rough time, sitting in COVID quarantine for two weeks, spiraling. “What am I doing here?” Ramsey recalls thinking. “ ‘You’ve chosen the wrong person’ — all of that goes around in your head.” Her predicament was like how viewers first meet Ellie in the series — a prisoner chained in a room for weeks, worried about what comes next.
The internet, being the internet, didn’t help. Ellie had been fan-casted for a decade and some cruelly picked apart all the ways they assumed Ramsey was wrong for the role. Ramsey pledged not to look at the comments, then looked anyway.
“I’ve seen everything,” Ramsey says, with a note of steely and f*** you all defiance familiar to anyone who watched Lyanna Mormont dress down Jon Snow. “I’m aware of all of it. It was my first experience, really, with a lot of negative reactions.”
What kept Ramsey going was her reason for taking the role in the first place. “Ellie felt like a character I already had in me,” Ramsey says. “Like the skins that you wear in a video game? She was one of my skins already.”"
Look what yall doing to her

what made it 'retroactively changing the ending' as opposed to being a sequel and continuing the timeline?
Breaking Bad season 5 retroactively changed the first four seasons
Empire Strikes Back retroactively changed A New Hope
I feel like elaborating/filling in the open ends of the original into the sequel has been a thing for as long as sequels to fiction has been a thing

Hope HBO protects her, we don’t need another Jake Lloyd
Bella had the best audition and was the only one who was able to perfectly capture the spirit of Ellie
All of yall will hop on the bandwagon after she does a great job and those award nominations start rolling in

As a long time Bella truther (even before we saw footage), this should be so obvious to people
if the guy who literally wrote, cast and created Ellie saw her audition and said 'thats her', we should at least wait till we see her performance before we judge fully
its obviously because she doesn't look like a made up, picture perfect disney/commercial kid and honestly i like that aspect of her for Ellie!
its different than the games but if you look at her personality/character/plot, her being a scrappy looking kid (intentionally, FOR the show. shes not ugly at all and people are mean for saying so) fits better. Plus she has the voice/attitude down perfectly from what we've seen
i'm just dreading a potential gamer/toxic fan meltdown on twitter when the show drops petitions, #recastellie trending, HBO having to tweet a Be Kind message etc

I truly believe that her portrayal will shut down a lot of doubt about her casting
Also her chemistry with Pedro will really shine
